I have heard a lot of people saying the commandos are not a good choice, but I find them to be amazing. At least the Galmando and the Minmando, specially the first one. Great anti infantry, great AV. Why arent they loved by people? I feel that in general, the Commando feels pretty well balanced within itself. Just compared to other suits is slightly lacking in pretty much every way. I think a responsible and slight increase to most of its attributes would bring it up to where it needs to be. Also need more options for Amarr and Caldari, preferably some EM and Rail light AV weapons. Assault HMG is hardly viable since the dispersion makes it unable to hit at its intended range. I understand what you're saying, but the suit itself is designed to be viable at close range. Bringing in another heavy weapon with more range is simply going to re-create the issue with people being shredded by HMGs from afar. Now if there was a heavy suit more designed around buffing heavy weapons that didn't have the same defensive capabilities of the Sentinel, but for example had bonuses to increase the range of the HMG, that might be more reasonable. But handing suit with the best defenses in the game a heavy weapon that can tear people apart at longer ranges is not going to be good. If you're looking for a higher HP suit that has less defenses and damage output than a Sentinel with an HMG, I really encourage you to give the Commando a go. It performs very well at a wide range of distances, has a similar feel to that of a Sentinel (just faster and less HP obviously) and its damage buff and utility to its weapons is nothing to scoff at.
