Yeah, you summed it up, Minmatar gear is best gear in game across the board, Minmatar FW therefore best and most sought after by q-syncs.
SUITS: MinAss: fastest, most versatile, best regeneration Assault
MinComm: best Commando, period, Versatile, best/broadest damage bonus, fastest heavy
MinScout: second best Scout, fastest scout, most versatile slot wise, only direct damage bonus to OHK weapon PLUS hacking bonus means faster, safer WP generating; all other scouts have no direct impact to WP generating such as this one does.
MinLogi: best logi bonus, two of them: range and HP distribution, best logi, period.
EQUIPMENT: Remote explosive + Repair tool: best, most effective equipment on market, best WP generating, period.
WEAPONS: - CR, ACR: easy to use, solid damage distribution, shields go almost as fast as armor, no drawbacks, no suit dependance for maximum performance...at all. - MD: range domination, suppression, AOE, CQC dominance, almost no personal skill investment Flaylock: see MD - SMG: best overall solid performance sidearm, medium range, beast damage against armor - HMG: speaks for itself, even Amarr have to buy at Minmatar stores here...
MODULES: - Do not matter, never did, in any faction.
The only thing other factions have OVER the Minmatar is Amarr sentinel, Gallente scout, Amarr Scr/AScr (not over, more equal, see drawbacks vs. none at all) and Caldari plus Gallente tank stuff as only they do have tanks. Other suits are good or solid, no belittling intended, but Minmatar is best. Iam just happy faction store does not sport Assault MDs, and Swarm launchers are still in Caldari store, else this would have been overkill.
As long as some of the most valuable equipment and most of it too is being found solely in Minmatar FW store, the situation will not change. simply making Remote explosives non-minmatar but, say Caldari or Gallente tech, or providing locus grenades as Amarr tech and offer it in FW store would have somewhat shifted balance at least a bit, but alas...no. As you can see, not balancing, buffing or nerfing equipment stats, but managing FW store layout for items (reappointment) should suffice to solidify the situation w/o forcing anyone to re-skill. |

This and D1CK's comments are nothing but selfrighteous, and most of all: They are wrong.
If you took the time and took a look at the realities, you'd have noticed, that Amarr FW holds roughly 33% of territory, and this is the best it has ever been, thanks to this glorious event.
It is right, that a good, organized squad or two can win any match, but this rule applies to any faction. You and your squad may have nice matches and win, but this is not the case for the rest of Amarr FW participants, and the FW map speaks of it in hard numbers. The fact Amarr holds 33% at best, Minmatar holds 66% tells us that Minmatar has more organized squads and dedicated players. And this is no coincidence:
As I explained before supply and demand are the ruling factors here, and people tend to be pragmatic, opportunistic, even greedy. Had Minmatar store not overwhelmingly more 'nice goods', participation would be more even. Despite this being factional warfare, most people do sign in for quasi aurum and 'specialized' goods, for PC training and others simply jump on the winner's train. Some even sign up for factional/roleplaying reasons, but these may be seen as the unicorns of DUST.
Saying people simply need to get good is nothing but a display of poor character. Good matches need good people and squads, right. But good people and squads need reasons to fight. Minmatar FW store offers more tangible reasons to fight for than the Amarr FW store atm. This too is a fact. FW district holdership is the logical result.
The same rules apply for Gallente vs. Caldari FW.
So please try and be constructive for once.

This and D1CK's comments are nothing but selfrighteous, and most of all: They are wrong. How so?? I don't say you need to get good.. I want FW to have squads active.. so teams can actually fight... Opposed to the current.. 1 team vs 1 rag-tag collection of LP farmers tl;dr If you can't play in a team. stay in Pubs
You argument on basis of Amarr having too many solos, and you assume I like to go solo and do so most of the time? So wrong, my friend.
You should not ask, why Amarr have so many solos, you should ask, why they do not have as many organized squads. And believe me, it does surely have nothing to do with being pro-fictional-race-Amarr having any impact on personal play preference or socializing skills. It has to do with lack of incentive for squads and corps to indulge.
But you are right in not being self-righteous, as True was meant with this. You my friend are simply guilty of being short-sighted. |
