So I like doing yoga ever now and then because it's pretty fun and generally good for you, but I have a difficult time with keeping myself up when I'm using my arms constantly on many postures. So I'm just wondering what would be some good ways to strengthen my arms so I can last longer and not have to rest or feel like my arms are about to give out when doing yoga?

Sure push ups help, but I'm wondering are there any more 'intense' arm related workouts?

Is this a euphemism for jerking off?
Push-ups, particularly ones with elevated legs as that puts a larger percentage of your bodies weight on your arms. Change comes slowly and you need to find a routine that'll keep you sticking with it.

Actually working out with those bands (comes in 3 diff resistances), can by from Walmart or whatever. The reason the bands will help is because your working out on the up motion and the down motion, resistance is the key

focus all thought on your breathing, exhale completely for as long as you can stand before taking next breath, works for inducing power nap, i'm guessing it could work for yoga also. it feels redundant for a few minutes before the magic happens- where you no longer have to focus on slow breathing after about 10 minutes where your breathing once every 15 seconds, you can then either dream or just consciously enjoy the time where your nervous system and muscles are at complete rest. also listening to the sound of the sunduring this practice has put the power into my nap. |

Hold your arms straight out at your side. Like you're a cross. Then either point your fingers out or make fists and move your arms in tight circular motions 40 times forward then 40 times backward. To start. Or 20 to start. Then just keep adding onto that as you get more comfortable with doing them. Daily.
Another exercise is to hold your arms out at your sides like so and bring your fists into your armpits. Like curls? It goes in to where the outside of your hands/fist is facing. Then bring I back out and facing the ceiling.
To stretch just put your elbow up and your arm behind your head and use your other hand to pull it so you stretch the muscles. Do the same with both arms.
You can do push ups against the wall also. Lift weights.
I hope this was helpful.

there are a lot of good ideas in here, and I suggest you try all of them
as for my two cents: if you have a place to do them; arm hangs, chin ups, pull ups, and the like.
Also don't get used to doing the same workout to many times, work on one thing for a quick intense workout, rest a minute or two, and do another intense workout.
but most of all have fun with it if you just do an exercise over and over you will get bored of it quickly, try new things make it fun, and you will be getting stronger in no time.
We will remember....
We will always remember....

Keep doing yoga. Over time, practicing yoga will help strengthen your core and make you bend in ways you only thought a women could. And your lady friend will thank you.
Not to mention generally feeling better. |

When you get to an off season, lift heavy weights. Low repetitions. Heavy weights help with muscle hypertrophy (the muscle cells physically get bigger).
It sounds like if you run track, and do other similar activities, like yoga, having a period of time where you focus on making your muscles stronger well help. It will give your body a chance to adapt in new ways, and you will notice a difference when you play your other sports.
By having stronger arms, they will essentially doing less work.

I only do track and cross country so besides a temporary break between each I don't get much "off season". But I will have a lot of free time during the summer.
But I do do weight lifting from te to time but I need to get into it more often... Because distance running isn't just a legs and torso sport.
