Interesting, every time I've seen a caldari sentinel its been a proto. Still goes down though, my ScR eats that shield like it eats the booty.

Flawed premises and lies are a great way to start a discourse. I have no pity for your HMG / sentinel woes, it sounds like you have a serious case of the bads.

I'm a ******* awful Sentinel..... I mean I really try but they are so slow to react to everything and the HMG defies my capabilities to use. I spend my time trying to hit them with every bullet instead of spraying an area.

I play on 42 sensitivity and 40 on ads. I know it's moving like molasses but I have aim assist off so I have to be this slow to aim well

I agree with new heavy weapons, not so much on the sents not being able to solo. A min sent is nice for soloing and also the gallente. Your a walking pillbox for gods sakes. If you can't solo a sentinel then that's fine but don't go complaining about it, get out there, use your mlt heavy suit, survive as long as you can in your slow squishy suit and THEN get back onto the sentinel. I can guarantee you will feel like a god

Hmm, use an mlt gallente heavy instead of my 'Quafe' galsent to train... interesting. I think I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

I have had very good luck soloing with the Caldari sentinel. YES!!! I said caldari which I happen to like more than the Ammar. I do have to admit that the ammar sentinel looks many times better and it comes in different cool color scheme.

I like the caladari because of its fast shield regen. Put at least one energizer and either a regulator or a repair mod and you are golden. You have to play the caldari as a scout. You sneak around corners and spray the enemy with bullets. Then you hide for a bit and before you know it you are back at full health so you can attack again. I find that I was dying the most on the second or 3rd encounter. Once I tried the caldari the second and sometimes 3rd encounter where no longer a problem because my health would had been replenished. Also, since I don't use armor plates the caladari sent moves rather fast. I mean, it is not a scout but for protecting small areas the movement is good enough. In contrast the ammar takes more initial punishment BUT!!!! a second round feels impossible if you don't have someone repping you.

Like someone else mentioned earlier you need a good secondary weapon. I haven't tried the scrambler pistol so I can't say anything about it either way. However, the bolt pistol even at the most basic level does wonders. Especially if you can get a head shot. HMG for short range, bolt for distance. A deadly combo.

People have also had good luck with the minmatar heavy. I haven't tried it but, I can see why they would like it. It has fast mobility and that fits that play style. It could be the case that you are using the wrong heavy.

Why are you even using an HMG? The empress isn't going to like that.

it sounds like you have the serious case of the butthurt scout who has been stomped by heavys for to long. but don't worry my little damped friend i still make scouts pee their pants when my assault HMG starts to feed.

Me? I like a challenge. I regularly snipe from the redline. However, I do this while standing up, in my underwear while sipping beer with one hand. Therefore, you may not say that I am not making the game challenging.
