Its totally random. I didn't ever want to buy strongbox keys as at first I only ever got absolute junk from the free keys we got. I noticed over the past week or two my luck had changed so I thought **** it - and went and bought some keys.
I've had a Quafe HMG BPO, Quafe Plasma Cannon BPO a Quafe LAV BPO and a Kaalikiota Caldari dropsuit BPO which instantly made all my keys worth the aurum! All of this in the past week or two so dont give up, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Should I also mention that I have received copies of all of the Officer dropsuits except the illusive "Scotsman's Modified Scout Gk.0"

I have not bought 100 but I have opened close to that many including the bought keys and the keys generated daily. I must have been incredibly lucky as I have had a few 2 key missions as well over the last 2 weeks.

And this is exactly why I cant wait for CCP to start implementing trading.

Ahh so that's why I felt my luck had changed. Still awesome! 4 Blueprints out of strong boxes so far, that plus the officer gear easily made any aurum purchases I made recently, 100% worth it. (In my own opinion of course)
