I logged in yesterday activated my omeaga boosters and thought yeah a hole day of playing dust. But all i got was the most boring time ever, every game was totally one sided eg; 5 vs 12. Even at the start of a match my team had 6 players and the other team had 14 and nobody else joined for the rest of the battle. And when a 6 man squad of a scrubb corp joins a lot of people just quit out.
Could we go back to 4 man squads in puplic contracts? It does say, these are for lone mercenaries or small squads, then we might get more balanced games.

This isn't new. Crap like this happened when I was playing about a year ago... I mean matchmaking can only do so much to prevent these type of situations, I believe.

Happened to me yesterday. Whipped out the proto and stomped on their A**. Perfect time to go proto hunting with a scout suit or snipe your way to 20+kills. :) make the most of it. |

I think Matchmaking is pretty nice so far...
BUT... there is a solid problem of quitters now. As far as I've seen, it usually happens when a solig A Corp squad is on the other side, and people just run into these Scrubs and get anihilated. People not dropping links is the other solid problem.
I'd say, we need punishment for early dropouts. But we also need reward for sticking in untill the end (bigger payout for those who stay in onesided matches.
Finally, why on earth are there ground spawns in dom, which have no scan on them, and invite the better team, to camp those?
Ratt, can you please put 10db 50m passive scan on all ground spawns? It's rediculous, especcially for the newer players, and just pushing them away from the game.

Actually the new matchmaking is alot of fun when we dont have a bunch of cowards in the game who bail once the match starts.
Hopefully CCP will draft up a severe punishment for repeated quitting a match with a squad, so that other people will have a chance to enjoy the game with the vain KDR princesses ruining it. |

Yeah dust lost alot of players after fanfest, but as a fps on the ps3 it totally out shines most of the ****** shooters. I still think dust has loads of potential, it just needs a few tweeks and more heavy weapons. and for CCP to promote it way better, just look at destiny it got loads of hype but it ant got half content as dust. |

Because you do not seem to have noticed the flood of threads about people leaving battle causing these offsets.
Because you did not see all the talk of battles being balanced great when it is actually balanced numbers.
There is more but they were contained to a thread or two so I will not use those as examples thanks to being easy to miss.

Here, to save you having to look elsewhere here's a summary of all the topics / official words we've gotten on the Matchmaking update:
According to Rattati, overall data indicates that battles like 3 / 15 are a "minority of cases" and that of those complaining about 'constantly' being put into 3 v 15 matches, Rattati was able to confirm that most of their matches were balanced at near full / full matches. (16 v 16 or 15 v 15)
Rattati and a Wild Dev have been collecting feedback on the new Matchmaking, and are working on improvements. Of greatest concern is squads being kicked, or squads having trouble getting their full squad into a battle at once. (This often causes the 3 v 15 issue when this rare case does occur)
Overall, according to Rattati / individual anecdotes battles are more balanced, both in terms of individual perception in many cases, and in terms of actual data. Where "balanced" fights are determined by a closer end result (lower MCC hp of winning team, lower clone count of winning team in MCC hp victory / clone victory types)
Overall the picture painted by what Rattati has shared from the data side is that the matchmaking balance has worked, and is creating more balanced matches on average than before. There are a few hiccups, but these are generally edge cases. These edge cases are already known issues, and are being worked on. |
