But that is not something Jesus asks for...
Nor does it require religion for people to do such things. Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great etc all fought wars and enslaved people without needing a religious reason to do so.
People use whatever excuses they want to do the things they do, especially when beliefs (including science) is bastardized for whatever uses they want.
You are more than welcome to believe what you want, but just know that your narrow mindedness and jumping to conclusions is just as bad as the fools who bastardize peaceful religions to use for violent purposes.

Unless he was playing the long con, do what you want while you live if he gets you for all eternity. That or its a pagan holiday that worships a zombie.
