In the gaps in time between the process of bleeding out and respawning, my mind's eye has seen many strange things:
I saw myself in a ruined city at night, and I am standing before a massive rectangular obelisk engulfed in flames. I touch it, and the fire spreads over my body, but I do not burn. Antlers of burning light grow from my head like a crown of fire. Cloaked in flame, I walk through the dark ruins and illuminate the night.
Another time, I saw myself waking up in a large pit dug deep in the dirt. The ground turns to mud as heavy rain falls relentlessly. Around me are over a dozen men and women are also trapped and naked like me. The constant flashes of lightning cuts through the darkness, and reveals brief glimpses of their mud-stained confused faces. When we look up, we see a dark figure looking down at us from above of the pit, but its too dark to see his face.
In yet another vision, I see myself on a cliff overlooking a dark turbulent oceans. With arms wide open, I jump down, but I slowly levitate forward and fly above the deep black ocean. I hear a distant monotone chanting, but one voice gradually becomes two, and two voices become three. I begin to quickly accelerate as I fly above the violent waters. It all becomes a blur, and the feeling is of pure exhilaration. I can't stop, and I don't want to. The chanting voices continue to pile on and create a deafening symphony of cacophony too loud to ignore. The noise of the chanting voices becomes too much, and I lose control. I love control and crash into the waters, and sink a few feet within. I feel several hands grabbing me and dragging me downGÇöI see an undersea forest of nothing but human arms jutting from the sand, and they all are reaching to grab me.
In another dying experience, I have visions of being back in the pit of mud, and we are all engaged in a battle to the death. I don't know how, but something deep within me is telling that I have to be the only one left alive, and that its the only way out. The dark figure above simply watches as we brutally beat each other to death with bloody fists and jagged stones. I strangle the last remaining survivor until I am the only one left, and then I start climbing up the muddy walls of the pit.
Back in the waters, the human arms growing from the sands pull me down through the ocean floor until I am inexplicably back on surface land. I am in the dark ruins of that city from the previous visions, and I am standing before a man with antlers and wrapped in fireGÇöit is myself. The "me" that I am experiencing being has also been changed; my body is covered in a black iridescent skin of stone, and black antlers extend from my head.
The most recent one I've experienced was back in the pit. As I climb up and reach the surface, I look into the face of the figure, and I see that he is the black iridescent me from the previous dream. The chanting voices begin once again. I reach out my hand to touch his face, but I see that my hand is completely covered in the blood of the others from the pitGÇöin fact, every inch of my entire body seems to be painted red with blood, and I find antlers of solidified blood sprouting from my head. I turn to my right, and I see my third self cloaked in fire. Blood-soaked, stone-skinned, and fire-cloakedGÇöwe all just stand there looking at each other.
Am I the only ones who experienced these weird visions or hallucinations when bleeding out die in battle? Anyone have any of these experiences that they wish to share?
