Are people here really just too ignorant to try to PLAY WITH the people they want to hire to see if they are any good? I mean seriously? You want to just regulate your selections down to elitist number crunching? Go ahead, then wonder why you got mashed by a corp whose overall rating is less than half of your calculated standings.

If KDR is above 4.0 and W/L ratio is higher than 3.0 it means they run with squads a lot to a reasonable level of synergy.
If KDR is above 3.0 and W/L ratio is between 1.0 to 2.0 (roughly), it means they are an extremely effective individual who isn't afraid to run solo.
If KDR is extremely high and W/L ratio is even or negative, they are doing the Duna thing and just being a pansy.
Lovin how idiots still think it's a measure of competency.
KDR of 0.2 on one guy, and a win ratio of over 4. Would you want him? Nope. Retards will be retards when it comes to elitism. Doesn't matter if the guy can do what is needed for victory. being the meat shield while hacking, sacrificing oneself to resupply allies.
Numbers are all you'll look at, and you won't even look past the KD/R readings to find out otherwise.
If you say "we would accept anyone who can perform x y or z exceedingly well" we all know you're lying
Duna is a mirror of the KD/R elitists. Only taking people with numbers they like, not people who work well together.

But the thing about numbers is that they can point to things. Not one number specifically, but a combination of numbers are signs of certain things.
If you're winning a lot as a solo'r it means you are doing things that put yourself in extreme danger for the benefit of your team. This means that KDR is going to drop a bit, whether you are a superior slayer or not. But it's still going to show, and those are the general averages.
There are exceptions to every rule, of course, but you don't establish a logical foundation based on the exception.
He serves the numbers. You have mistaken what I wrote, by subconsciously veering away from it.
Duna padding his KD/R for the sake of KD/R is like how some large corps only hire high KD/R for the sake of KD/R. It doesn't matter if they win a lot of battles, they just do it for the numbers because that's the "best of the best of the best sir!" way to do things.
Some others do game hopping in hopes of inflating their W/L ratio as well...
If everyone in the corp has to actively try to inflate their KD/R and W/L ratios, what kind of a corp is that? It's a job, not a game? They keep raising "the bar" higher and higher, until no one person in their corp can attain said levels without artificially inflating their score... pubstomping, queue synching, the works. Many of these large Corp members are afraid to run solo, because they know their KD/R will fall if they aren't in a group. This seems to be the rule with the "higher ranked corps" instead of an exception. The "higher end" the corp, the more of a dead-end corp they become.
