Well, the only reason not to be penalized for dropping would be #2 and lag. I see no reason otherwise not to implement a penalty system for dropping. Personal preference for dropping is hurting the game. Play or don't play. Simple as that. You can always run around in the redline while drinking beer!

From my own experience, it seems that you get a far, far smaller reward for playing games that have already started. A game that is 90% over will result in like 60% of the rewards. I might as well join a fresh game. 3. If I am getting to the point that DUST is no longer enjoyable. Lagging, PS3 overheating, or just getting put into the same matches over and over. If it hits me, I just walk away. It is better to drop a game rather than continue playing it and walk away angry, at least from experience. This one isn't very common. That is about it. "This is B.S! But #5 is right on point. However, I don't leave because of that. I just try to play smart and go for kills. So really, I leave because of #1,2,6, and 7. CEO / Art.of.Death

The match doesn't change for them, they are hiding and losing either way.
