Do you use Xbox styled controllers for PS3? A DS4? Maybe even tell us your mouse and keyboard that you use. I personally like to use this bad boy because of the placement of the D-pad and the resting place on the back of the controller. When I'm not using that I'm using my mouse and keyboard which is a Razer Deathadder/Adder (I forget) 2013 and the Razer Deathstalker Original. Please share what you use so we can try to -counter- get to know each other a little more. :DDDDD |

Stock.
Also, Razer? Why? There are much better brands out there, while Razer uses cheap materials and labor from China. |

Really the only reason I use it is because they all match the same colors and I won them in a giveaway. I really like that I can play completely in the dark with my controller, keyboard, and mouse. For about 9 months, I was stuck using a broken DS3 that had severe pressure sensitive problems due to years of use. The buttons would decide to just stop working, and the d-pad developed a mind of its own in the form of "strategic mapping", where I would engage in a firefight, and suddenly have my overhead map pop up as my body just stood there against my will. At least I could see exactly where the guy killed me from.
Nowadays, my DS3 has found a new, comfortable home on the side of the Garden State parkway. I have the same controller as the OP, however, through vast, intense, overly extensive research, I have come to the conclusion that I am just not meant to have a fully functioning controller, as this one is starting to develop similar symptoms. To remedy this problem, I said **** it, and will tip over my pot of gold this weekend in favor of a new DS. Because math and **** shows that third party models are unreliable.
inb4 hurrrr stop throwing ur controller xD I will throw it at you.

I originally had it for about 6 years, so it served its purpose. I've always had bad luck with other controllers, though.

Ive broken 4 controllers through Dust. All stock black DS3s.
My original DS3 that came with my PS3 sort of works, now used on my 2nd PS3.
To stop me throwing controllers at walls (3 times) and out of windows (once), I bought a Gold coloured stock DS3. I am looking to purchase a Scuff DS3 soon too. I ocassionally use my DS4, but it doesnt feel as comfortable on Dust.

My dog chewed one of them as a puppy, so it was the first to start taking a crap. The second one, the left analog started sticking (or moving on its own.) I got tired of the map opening up on me mid-fight, so I just bought a new one. I think my newest one may end up the same as my second soon. Its always the left analog for me.

I use the standard PS3 controllers a lot because they're wireless.
I really enjoy the HORI FPS Assault controller. Sniping is slightly less frustrating with adjustable sensitivity and smoother knob action.

The springs wear out, and the knobs don't always snap back to neutral. Quite often my aim will just drift left if I don't manually hold the knob to the right.

I-¦m buying a new one later today. Just realised that now you can use the Dualshock 4 wireless with PS3 so I-¦m thinking about getting one instead of the old one.

You won't be able to sprint. And unless you have a ps4 it's pointless to buy a ps4 controller. Like idiots put new rims on a old pos car. Your still in a 96 Toyota. Idk can't teach stupid |

I use a customized third party controller with a built-in combination aimbot / lagswitch / SSD
Oh, and it has those little things on the sticks that make it easier to aim. For when I don't use the aimbot.

Yeah, pretty much what the replies are. About a year or so back, my map screen would popup a good 3 out of 5 CQC engagements. That or the player roster. After weeks of randomness, and then one day I couldn't access the vigors wheel in Bioshock Infinite, I just bought a replacement. Seemed to fix it.
The past weekend I've noticed my cal scout randomly deciding to throw a grenade while running around cloaked. Sometimes it cycles the swap-weapon-to-tap-my wrist cloak animation in the middle of a gunfight. I don't mind it happening, I just hate knowing the guy shooting me down is laughing wondering wtf I'm doing on my end.
regarding smashing controllers: lol. years back, playing midnight club on PC with a ps3 type controller I had an extended fit of rage. I think I was using the bike racing through London or something. I lost control, crashed, and blamed the stick, throwing it across the room. In a brief moment of ignorant satisfaction at "beating up" my controller, I forgot that it was tethered to the PC. The USB cable popped out of the port and smacked me in the face as it trailed behind the airborne controller. Not only did it fight back leaving a whelp across the side of my face, but the controller was still in tact. I was so going to teach this smart ass piece of plastic a lesson. I grabbed the cable, spun it like a lasso, then slammed it against the bed post.
It broke. My face was throbbing from the whipping I just received (quite literally), I missed beating my time in the game, and now had no controller to continue. I felt dumb. I never played that game again, nor have I used a similar style controller since. That is until I got my ps3
Meditation helps.
Back to point: I'm curious if some of these issues are due to interference. I've never played wired.

PS3 standard and sometimes the DS4. only issues with DS4 is lack of rumble in Dust, and every ps4 game uses R2 to shoot so my muscle memory screws me up.
