As the only weapon that depends on alpha damage in the game people are always going to scream OP and then people are going to flock to it because it is op. It will just get nerfed into the ground and people will run off to the conventionally operated weapons until the ScR is buffed again.
Remove heat build up
Remove charge up
Increase damage
Increase hip fire dispersion
Give the assault a reduction to hip fire dispersion
PROBLEM SOLVED. Now that it operates just like every other weapon we can very easily balance it and call it a day. |

I more than 100% agree with you but it is becoming obvious that this community can not handle different unless different is nearly useless. The ScR is now getting nerfed because everyone is running shield suits with absolutely no tank. Maybe if shield suit users would use some tank instead of using the high slots to stack damage mods and myofibs they would not die to 1 shot after the charge shot.

Because it is the alpha damage that presents a problem. The charge up and the bonus against shields is what makes it so effective. |

I personally don't see an issue with the SCR, but honestly I don't even care anymore if Rattati is going to nerf it to make it less effective. However, what I would mind is if the weapon got radically changed in a way that completely removes what made it special. I skilled into the SCR for a specific set of features, and if those features get completely changed, than it's like my decision is completely invalidated. It would be like buying a sedan, and years later, the dealership replaces your sedan with an SUV without your consent.
Wait to hear what Rattati actually has proposed before proposing these uniqueness-neutering measures.

I see three ways
Increase heat cost, so that you have less followup shots to spam
increase hip fire kick, with compounding so the 3rd shot in succession is way off
Increase charge shot multiplier, decrease normal damage = preserve dps, rewarding accuracy
It is obvious that he wants it pushed out of CQC. The reason it is so effective in CQC is because scouts and heavies maintain the domain of CQC. The thing is getting nerfed into the ground soon. I would rather see "uniqueness neutered" than see it go into the trash bucket as well as becoming even more impossible for new players to use it. |

I am referring to scouts. My apologies for the vagueness. If you do not see the flood of hit box glitching minmatar suits you have not been playing the game. |

In Ratattis method of balance the natural counter to scouts is always going to get nerfed. Why we continue with this facade of "balancing" that is going to inevitably lead to scout + CR + Smg being the only viable fitting I do not know.
It will be much easier to achieve this goal without burning the weapon to the ground if we go ahead and strip it of everything that makes it actually work. |
