This games been out for a while now and what happens everyday is that a bunch of clones get on a warbarge, deploy on a battlefield and get paid to kill and be killed.
The though of adding lore to Dust 514 is one topic that I have been coming across for a while now.
These are the thoughts of two people's thoughts I've read. I don't want to put their names for some reasons even though I planned to but all credit for these great idea go to them.
He thinks that we should have campaigns where we choose a faction to fight for and in the end every move that we make impacts the overall war. And of course the merc will always get something in the end and those clones that we shot in the head won't mean nothing. They will be a lasting impact on New Eden that we leave behind.
We should have an achievement box with medals that we can actually see and not some crappy neocom bs. When we select a medal or scroll over it and it tells a little story letting us know that we left something here.
I think that something that combines both would be great to the game. We have FW where it all focuses on the main empires of New Eden. With this that excludes all other factions mingling in the world. This could fall under Other Contracts. A faction of our choosing, such as Kaalakiota (Caldari Loyalist in me). I say its a loyal war because it is one that we stick with from once we start, like our races but the races for your character profile don't impact the game. Factions are always at each others throats and with this there will be multiple wars going on for control of areas. If the faction that you chose is fighting one of those wars, then you can choose to deploy in and help the fight. This will not be one battle and that's it. It will be hundreds of battles that veer the war to one side or another. Once one side is declared a winner then they hold that specific area. But everything has its perks, so these held areas will give you things like a passive isk income or certain weapons that can be picked on occasion, even though itself, the battles should have high income.
Optional: There will many many factions to go against so that's why I'm thinking of a bit of a democratic view on the next target for war. There should be a room or forum that members of a faction are set to to allow them to be able to converse. In these forums should be a list of targets that you can choose to declare war on. People should be able to vote for the next target, a faction or planet, so things are not chosen at random and there will be a more fair way to decide things. Plus the boosts will be listed so you will know what your getting and something like the weapons I mentioned before can be chosen specifically by each player so they can get what they want.
