Most people would agree that the Amarr Scout needs a buff (i would love to see some stats), which may be because CCP don't know what role they'd like it to fulfil
I've always thought that it would do well as a light assault and with that in mind should get a similar bonus
What I'm proposing is an overcharge bonus to the ScR, allowing it to hold a twice the level of charge (and corresponding heat buildup) to work as an assassin, dipping in and out of cover, using its existing bonuses to identify and pick off targets.

AM Scout component could stand alone. Swap Precision for +X% Efficacy to biotic modules. Alternatively, passive scans could be restored to a useful state, though I suspect these were knee-capped intentionally.

There is supposedly a cap on speed, so it really wouldn't make much difference as Gal and Minmatar can basically reach the same speeds.
It would just do it with less effort, not to mention the Melee/Jumps.
As a Minja, I have no problem with the Amarr being faster, especially since the bonus they will lose will likely be the Precision bonus given how meaningless EWAR circles make it.

You mean a potential of AT LEAST a 25% bonus to precision isn't good enough? And that's without stacking penalties.
What I wish was for slot parity between the Amarr and Gallente scouts. One of them should be 5 lows, 1 high at proto, and the other the same as now. I was going to say that Amarr should be the 5 lows and 1 high, but that would hurt it due to not being able to use 2 precision enhancers, but if you give it to Gallente, they would be defined as the all armor race.

Damn, biotics bonus and slot reallocation both sound crazy interesting, can't tell if crazy good or crazy ret4rd. But interesting nevertheless. Definitely something CCP should consider further.

If Falloff inner ring could be "fixed" at 5-10m, then we could restore Range Extenders to their formerly useful state. The current AM Scout bonus would then be meaningful, and there would be no need to replace it. But if passive scans are to remain as they are now, the AM Scout bonus will remain without any real benefit.
I'm OK with either path, but something should be done to bring the AM Scout back into parity with the rest of the class.
