Look for yourself. Why should I have too Spkr? Should I sit here and have to lecture you about how much the US Military does for the US? Should I drone on about my father and mother and what they did in the service? Should I have to tell you my entire history with the military? Should I have to tell you that every day you wake up and log on your smart phone or your computer, you have a legion of men and women who were all they could be and gave and sacrificed so you can get online and act like a little b!tch? You seem like you only have respect in that case....so there ya go. Its time to ante up with the respect bro.
One thing I have to point out. The US military does NOTHING for those troops who went to war and back. Oh there are "vetrans services" that never do anything, but for the most part they are dumped out on the floor like yesterday's garbage with only a medal and some money to show for it.
War deployment destroys people's minds and their tolerance for others. Why? Because the training they give for military deployment destroys your ability to adapt. I've met so many veterans who have to have their room in a very specific manner in order to feel safe, that it just makes me upset beyond measure. Seeing people who used to be so vibrant reduced to compulsive and irritable control disorders... It basically trains them to have ADD, but with a trigger fuse, or a spark keg that could cause them to self-detonate at any second.... yet the Military does nothing for these people's psychological well being.
Turning someone into a pillar to hold up a roof of national security (think roman pillars here) only works for as long as they have a roof to hold. Once they are out of the combat zone, their rigidity can cause them to topple and crack without said roof for mutual support. These psychological structures are great for war... but they loose their ability to cope with the natural world outside of conflict, and the toppling... well that's just another way of saying suicide.
I walk down the road, and see veterans with these problems nearly every damn day. The military isn't going to set up a "defusing camp", yeah they have the camp used for returns, but that really doesn't do anything.
Gawd that was a ramble.... But I really feel they need to take care of the messes they make.
