can you give us the able to turn off mood effects? you do have color blind people playing dust. the fact is some/most are color blind in green & red. this appears greyish white (same color as the fog effect) and the red markers over players heads disappear in the effects to the point they don't know friendly from enemy at 50 meters. this hurts their able to play fraction warfare & PC. all I am asking is a way to turn it off. I mean you want it to be a fair game so people with disabilities can play right?
before some players say well that is war for you and just they will have to find a way to play. WE ARE CLONES! the color blindness would not be in there since we are clones & we are made that problem would be cured/fixed!
besides I am asking for the ability to turn off the mood effects in the options. your choose to have it on or not! |

Perhaps changing the effects would be better, else they should just remove it to save the wasted feature.
any ideas of how to change them? |

this is not true. it is like a cap/filter on a camera. it is put over your eyes seeing the map not the map itself. that is why you see it sometimes in the warbarge and when you are picking a place to spawn in. |

Perhaps changing the effects would be better, else they should just remove it to save the wasted feature. any ideas of how to change them? Up the opacity so it's more of an 'effect' rather than a massive blinding fog. Though not being colourblind, I can't say for sure that the image 'values' would help improve visibility. But if it wasn't such a mess, then having an on/off switch wouldn't affect gameplay, no advantage to people switching it off. Edit - Or perhaps an option to change the colour of the friendly and enemy 'dot' colours would be possible.
you know what is really a pain. - the aim marker being white while not on friendly/enemy and lights up "red" when on an enemy. if we could change the reds light up colors that could works. it is on the hub so that is possible to let us each pick out colors for friendly and/or enemies. just think over 300 million people world wide have some color blindness. |

I don't want the moods to go, it does add a bit of immersion, unless their departure means in exchange the HUD is upgraded or music is re-introduced. :D
yes green/red seem to be the most common but this is not the best solution.
Mortishai Belmont wrote:The color blind things is an invalid argument. The red flecks also screw with people that can see color, many a merc as had to double take thinking there was a redberry lurking where there was only red... wtf ever it is.
The low visibility is another aspect of war and a variable that should be in there. Kinda like fog or rain, it happens regardless if it's convenient to you or not.
as i said before "before some players say well that is war for you and just they will have to find a way to play. WE ARE CLONES! the color blindness would not be in there since we are clones & we are made that problem would be cured/fixed!" however I understand your side Mortishai that is why I like this the best - give us the option to change the colors of friendly, enemy, & squad mates chevrons. this way your "low visibility is another aspect of war" is still there but now color blind people can change it to colors they can tell apart tell friendly from enemy "the same as you at the same distance with the same visibility". I mean do you want to be shot and killed in the back at 40 meters by a friendly in fw or pc since the mood effect is the same color as your chevron? |

Aeon Amadi wrote:IMO, would generally be better as a whole if we had different symbols for Enemies and Friendlies - not just on a color blind basis either. that would help a lot then add in the option to change the color of friendly, enemy, squad mates, and your hub aka aim marker and what color it lights up when aimed at enemies. |

I want smoke, fog, and low visibility, because it's a variable that makes the battles run slightly different. Yes, because I am looking for red dots appearing above peoples heads when I'm driving... Just to clarify, someone mentioned a colourblind issue, which seems perfectly valid in my oppinion. My only issue personally is with some people being able to turn it off, while others leave it on... Because then your battle's gonna be a bit one sided. Hence looking for other solutions to the issue at hand... Rather than just being a condescending nob? I thought that came off as aggressive towards people that can't drive in the fog. If I cared about tackling an issue like colorblindness I'd have just linked this. Funny you choose to respond by being a condescending nob. Looking for solutions to a non-problem? Are there people aside from Devs that can turn the environments on and off? The environments are fine. It can't be helped that some people are colorblind. Just Google video games and the colorblind and you'll hear the struggle of people with a visual hobby and a visual handicap. They sound like Michael J. Fox on a golf course complaining that there aren't rumble packs for everyone else's golf clubs. ok you need to read post from earler as i said "EDIT - BEST ANSWER SO FAR - give us the option to change the colors of friendly, enemy, & squad mates chevrons" they can leave it on just give us this! |

lol I think CCP is not going to answer this topic. ok here is the best answer give us the option to change the colors of friendly, enemy, squad mates chevrons & the hub ( the hit markers light up what ever color the enemy is that we choose). |
