I was upgrading a skill and next thing I know I was at -159k skill points. I was waiting for match to start when it happened. Was taking a while to get in game so I went to the neo com. When I selected a skill to upgrade and x for okay it took a long time. Then BAM negative points. I did get the skill I upgraded but it took a whole lot more then it should have. No idea what exact number of point I had before or what I should have had after.
Um, so yeah, not cool ccp. Not cool.
So here is to waking up in the morning with my skill points back from ccp. You need to beta test your admin tools anyways.  |

i've heard of someone else going negative, forget exactly who, Nova Knife, maybe?
anyway, i'm not sure if CCP gave him those points back? i think he ended up slowly working out of negative... which does suck and hopefully this is a known issue to be resolved before it happens to me! lol 
btw, i wish you luck in gettin those lost points back!  |

I am almost back to zero now. I didn't think I would get them back but it was worth a shot 
plus whats 512k skill points anyways? 30 minutes with a swarm launcher

Do you remember what the skill was in particular? I notice that you specified exactly how many skill points you ended up in the negative, but if you knew the skill then we could narrow it down because each skill costs X amount of skills points per level x its difficulty modifier so yeah... |

I experienced this. Bought electronics 4, still had SP, so bought weapns 4. only had enough sp for the 1st skill, and went negative when the system caught up and applied electronics 4 along with taking the sp for it. It's a shame the lag in the skill window was bad enough for it to happen, but better negative SP than people being able to get free skills by glitching the game. |

Had this happen to me today as well. It used 200k skill points for a 20k skill. I think it was light weapons reload speed it happened on....level 2 |

I think I might have just experienced this as well. I just got electronics IV I had around 170k unallocated sp and the skill costed around 143k i think? I had 2.888mil sp, I allocated the skills into electronics IV then I only had 2.833mil sp. I haven't tried counting my SP or seeing if any skills lost sp but unless I am going crazy electronics IV took more than it needed but still left 17k unallocated sp....odd |

Happened to me yesterday.
was buying SMG skill level IV then before I got to confirm it I was sent to a game. After game, I checked that I wasnt able to buy the skill so I went and bought it (2nd attempt). However, it showed that I have bought SMG skill V! and I got negative skill points amounting to 400k SP |

Had a similar issue, but the difference being that I used the buy and upgrade command before being sucked into battle. The result was after I would finish a match and it would show isk and sp earned but would not show my current isk or sp nor my new totals, the bug also would not allow me to exit the battle from the final screen instead I had to wait until the battle was closed by a timer. After exiting the game and logging back in it looks like I was able to gain my skills and isk. They were the correct totals. |
