Well you cant have your cake and eat it too.
The LAV nerf helped put a stop to heavies rolling around in LAVs popping out and killing and hopping back in when they take damage. 1 Lai Dai and the fatttie and LAV are toast.
You can always put some mods on your LAV to help. It should NOT be free to blow up a PRO tank no matter how annoying it is. |

It hasn't been "outed" in the sense that it is no longer possible. It is still very doable to strap a LAV with REs and blow a tank sky high. (Short of a double hardened armor tank)
What has been outed is a LAVs ability to do this with 0 fitting, or high driving skills. A skilled driver (or poor hostile gunner) can still ram and destroy a HAV without getting hit, or by fitting sufficient tank to withstand one, or two hits. The idea with the RE tactics has always been one of mutual destruction, so often they are fitted in such a way that it is very easy to lose one in the suicidal attempt.
Nothing in general strategy has changed, except that LAVs are easier to destroy by direct fire, which a LAV should be trying to avoid in the first place. |

Still possible due to the bonus explosives receive against armor.
- Call in BPO LAV
- Use Proto Logi with all three slots for explosives, use supply depot as well since you're in your redline.
- Swap to APEX proto logi to keep all Bewm-Booms
- 3*1250+4*1500+5*1750= 18500 Bewm Boom Festival of Lights

5 boundless RE's do the trick for me... I just swap to a 3k logi suit... Used to pay more for my jeeps, but now my Jihaad is sponsored by Quafe!
Sometimes I really splash out and put a fuel injector on it, what can I say, I'm a big spender.
The only things that need Jihaad's are rep Maddi's and redzone tanks... They both tend to have low hp. |
