Move the redzone back, add the permanently scanned idea where the redzone used to be.
The MCC blowing you up, would be cool, but it's still the same as the timer... something to hide behind when you're losing/lazy.
Some of the maps would need the MCC pushed back, or some other spawn point further back. |

How easy is this game going to get? I was under the impression people shooting in and people shooting out get the same warning.
Let people get 3 warnings that refresh every 5 - 10 minnutes of gameplay. On your 3rd the MCC aims it's turret at you and just goes nuts.

It gets even worse then espc for vehicles because your only supply depot is in the back and you need ammo or you need to wait for your mods to cooldown because going out cold is the worst thing you can do with AV being about and invisible. Why would your MCC target you? That makes no sense
Because you're endangering the civilians? Shooting guns too close to them...
Also hiding in the redzone is 1 of 2 things we want gone, if you bring out your tank you should keep it alive by avoiding the AV while they cooldown, some maps are big and have decent obstacles for this.
Not really sure how it affects the vehicles though... If you go in the redzone, you can't shoot and people can't shoot at you (more than twice, without being obliterated and potentially kicked from the match.) Currently you have AV camped on your redzone through some matches anyway, waiting for vehicles to be called in/driven out... The difference being that they wouldn't be able to shoot (safely) until you leave... With swarms you could reverse back into the red before they hit and get them a warning.

While it is nice to say avoiding AV my tank cannot fly, swarms bend round corners and infantry gets around quick on some maps and if JLAV is about you're not safe anywhere outside the redline.
If you are going to have a buffer zone then the redline needs to go back further but might as well move the redline back anyways and forc players to go 500m out to get the the area

Safest from jihaads in the redzone? no wonder you hate them, that's the easiest place to kill a tank with them, 20 seconds and you die, doesn't even have to ram, just stick to the side of it and everyone goes out in a blaze of glory.

How about we remove the redline, but if someone gets too close to under the MCC, then random orbitals start dropping, killing just about everyone on the other team.
That might deter a lot of spawn camping. |
