I get that this game is supposed to be a "team based shooter" but you can't expect everyone to want to play in a group 100% of the time. Sometime's you just want to play on your own for a while and having a place where you could do so against other players that are under the same circumstances as you would be a nice break of the monotony of running in squads to improve your odds... this is not possible most of the time because there's usually a few squads on both sides of the team on almost every battle. If you don't like the free-for-all game mode then you simply don't play it... it's the reason FPS games usually allow you to select from several different game modes with different points in mind to try to have something that attracts different players. If something like this would make it into dust it would give you 0 reason to quit... but I do know that this type of mode is sadly unlikely to happen. :/ EDIT: Also, threads get locked due to inactivity after a while so even if this would happen you wouldn't be able to reply to this thread. I remember an old thread about arena style battle, where we are (lore-wise) fighting for the entertainment of New Eden citizens. It included ideas for arenas that had some interesting aspects. I don't think it may be too late at all. MU has been working pretty well and has definitely improved matchmaking a bit and a Free-For-All mode would probably enable players to solo in more evenly matched battles because players with a high MU would be matched against each other accordingly and make for less one sided battles. The corporations, like Douvalle, could be getting data based on kills in a control group via a free for all match. The person with the most kills in the match with a particular weapon gets copies of the gun as salvage and the corporations gets their data on the weapons used in the match. This is just another idea to implement a free for all mode with New Eden lore. \o/
