Not only has CCP implemented a whole bunch of bullshit into this game but they have chosen for some reason to ignore the biggest problems this game has. All the issues this game has have been repeatedly mentioned in the forums so CCP has no basis for playing stupid when it comes to why they choose to implement more content into this game all while ignoring the major problems this game has.
After the matches I played last night and so far this morning I am now for the first time considering quitting this game and moving on to something else.
I ask that anyone reading this not to purchase anymore Aurum for this game. Word got out that Dust is profitable which means all of us who play this game now have legitimate power in controlling how this game will be handled. If we ban together to cut off their revenue stream that would send a strong message to CCP that they need to get their **** together and fix this game.
Does anyone know when the next update will be?
I would like it if everyone stopped purchasing Aurum until the next update. After we gage the changes on the next update we can get together on the forums and discuss whether or not CCP did enough to earn our money at which time we can decide if the strike will continue or if it will be called off.

1. If we all cut out the revenue stream by not paying money, then CCP Rattati and his team will suffer because of a lower budget and ultimately means a massive or permanent delay of the features we were expecting to come on the Trello boards. The game will no longer be profitable and CCP Hilmar might then change his mind and decide to shut down Dust like he did with World of Darkness. This strike that you propose benefits NO ONE and it's counter intuitive.
2. I'll continue to support this game by purchasing AUR so that Rattati and his team can have a better reason for Hilmar to at least devote one or two more devs towards Dust so that we can get this game to be better optimized and hopefully ported over to the PS4 and perhaps even have Dust start using UE4.
PS: I'm NOT with you. Go strike on your own.

What new content? Last time I checked, everything that we have has been previously existing for a long time. The only addition are Daily Missions, respecs, and the Warbarge which are things that can be done easily. The real changes I have seen for almost an entire year so far have been balance changes, implementing a team builder with the MU system (not to be confused with matchmaking), removal of the Gallente Research Facility from PC until its been addressed, rebalancing of all weapons and vehicles, PC is about to get an overhaul if it hasn't already, simple trading is coming which is something EVERYONE has been demanding since the beginning of time, cloaky shotgunners are no longer an issue, respecs have helped players enjoy the game more, equipment spam has been largely eliminated, and logistics suits now benefit from the new bandwidth limit.
CCP has not been ignoring every problem. Many of them have been or are currently being addressed. The only problem we have right now is that the dev team for Dust is too small to deal with the major issues and therefore needs more revenue to justify having a bigger team to tackle said issues. We're never going to achieve that if we stop paying.
PS: The rogue drones that Rattati is experimenting with are old content as well that were developed over a year ago and only now is he playing around with them to see what use they have for helping new players in a possible PvE style match for learning.

I just bought 200 keys and I didn't get what I wanted... I really want something to replace my 'Exile' being range limited like it is... I thought for sure 200 keys would get a Quafe Combat/Rail/Scrambler Rifle. No weapon BPOs. I did get a cool Roden Scout, but I literally already had 10 Gallente Scout BPOs.
I'm strongly considering the Templar package that's on sale for 75$, but the problem is that there's going to be a box in the mail and my wife will find out that I've spent even more money on Dust, even though I pretty much already have everything. Buying any more keys seems too wasteful, like a gambler trying to get rich.
TLDR; I'm going to buy more AUR as soon as I run out.

You could always grind for the one free key you get everyday.
By the way, the Templar set is worth it and you'll enjoy the contents of the box, especially the board game that comes with it. It's fun.

Personally I have started purchasing aurum again out of love for this crazy game. As much as some things really **** me off as player, (lag, low performance, latency problems, kb/m suckage etc..) I also know that there really isn't much else out there that tickles my fancy.
I have a career, money to buy any new games or consoles, so don't think that I am some basement dwelling unemployed teenager. Everything I have seen so far just looks like more generic, been done before bollocks to be quite honest with you.

My main issue is people quitting matches the moment they see they are up against really good squads. I have had this issue for awhile but as of recently it is really starting to **** me off. When my teammates quit they are ******* me over.
People talk about how this game is all about teamwork and I say that is complete bullshit. When a challenge is presented teamwork goes out the ******* window.
I am tired of being teamed up with people who don't make a damn bit of effort. I actually started to send ISK to people on my team and to people on the enemy team that I see really put in an effort just to have things not end well for them in that particular match. I started to do that so that those who don't quit get some reward because as of right now CCP sure as hell isn't rewarding them for trying. |

It's the corps that were in General Tso's Alliance like yours that cause people to quit. Imagine you are a new player, making your stand in the Academy. Wow, I went 13/2, and the guy at the top went 20/4. Cool game! High K/D's! Then they get pooped out into pub world. That same guy that he saw go 20/4 go 0/13 because people like you say the game is boring and that you earned your prototype so you unleash it on these guys. Then you complain here that people are quitting because you drove them all away. I bet the blueberries on the other team are quitting too if they see Molon Labe as your corp. Too often have I played with blueberries when recruiting and they've said "Look, Molon Labe/Fatal Absolution/Nyain San. I'm going." because they get tired of your stomps. You literally use pubs as your planning area for PC squads.

I would like it if everyone stopped purchasing Aurum until the next update. After we gage the changes on the next update we can get together on the forums and discuss whether or not CCP did enough to earn our money at which time we can decide if the strike will continue or if it will be called off.
Who is with me? Mate I have been there, many times. What is it recently that is getting to you? Tell the people in your corp to stop playing pubs like PC.
I just joined Molon Labe a few days ago. Whatever they have done in past to **** people off I have no part of. In the just over 11 months I have been playing this game I haven't even yet run with a squad. I have been holding off playing with a squad until I hit the one year mark of me playing this game that way I can compare my stats as a 100% solo player with whatever my stat increase will be running with a squad.
Understand this. I am the solo blueberry that allows noobs to win a hell of a lot more matches than they would if I was not assigned to their team. |

The Gallente Federation doesn't care and I have Quafe suits. The US government's attempt at scoffing is now invalid.

Well all things being equal, less money to CCP means less money spent fixing the broken things, and less staff to work for CCP and then less games that CCP make. As someone who likes this game somewhat and still plays after several years of even more broken mechanics I can personally say that this game has come quite a long ways from the Closed Beta version I started playing on and has continued to get better. That said I agree that fixing issues should be a main concern at this point, most notably getting the rest of the racial gear actually into the game and then balancing it, followed by figuring out which platform it will be remade on, because likely many of the issues the majority of players have with Lag are due to old and last-gen hardware.
All these problems and more need addressing, but not buying Aurum or gear for the game will not fix any of this and if CCP can't make some money off what it has invested thus far we will likely see Dust 514 die when the PS3s are all dead or Play Station ceases to support network connectivity with the PS3 which is likely going to happen eventually.
Support CCP and we will see Dust move to something better, do not and it will go down the tubes the same way MAG did.

Simply tossing money at something isn't going to do anything unless said money is being used to improve the resources that will improve the thing you're tossing money at.
You may not like what I said, but it's true.
It might anger or offend you, but it's still true.

Summa Militum wrote:Not only has CCP implemented a whole bunch of bullshit into this game but they have chosen for some reason to ignore the biggest problems this game has.

Who is with me? I kind of want to buy aurum after reading this...
