I have all of my SP invested in vehicles and I can't do ****. I lose 2 mil every battle. This is the worst state that this game has ever been in. Even worse than 1.6. At least then I could alt farm and get back a decent portion of my ISK back.
Now it's just garbage. HAVs go pop in a matter of seconds, and it doesn't matter if you are fed tens of millions of ISK from your corp per day. But I get not source of ISK income except for pubs. The only thing I can run are vehicles. But AV is too powerful and proto Maddies are ******* invincible. My rail Gunnlogi can't beat a rail Maddy. Missiles suck. And I don't have the SP or ISK to field a proto Maddy myself.
This is a cry for help out to CCP. Make vehicles fun again. They were fun in HF Delta. You ruined them in Echo. Every playstyle should be viable. I should be able to run vehicles and make a profit.
I'm losing it. I can't stop because I want to recover the 20 million I've lost in three days but I only lose more the more I play. My nerves are getting high, I want to rant and rant and rant, and curse the hell out of everyone that kills me.
CCP, this is what your hotfix has done. It has ruined me in three days.

Have you stuck to hit-n-run tactics? Most tankers I have seen use this a lot and usually only lose when they stick around in one spot for too long.

Yes, I mean, that's what I had to do with my missile Gunnlogi in Delta. I just don't know what to do anymore. I don't stick around for too long at any one place but AV always manages to find me and it's almost always like two or three proto AV at a time. Either AV or a proto Maddy with a particle/ion cannon engages me, which I cannot break as I'm still mystified as to what their fits are as I can't even break them with my damage modded particle cannon.

its cos they run around with double hardeners and double reps. AV still barely scratches a hardened gunnlogi, and if its 3 people shooting you then you can't really complain. |

Seriously? Just did two matches verse you.
First match you sat in your nearly invinceable armor tank and destroyed nearly everything that came your way and went 20-1 because we finally got you by taking out 4-5 fully proto/maxed out AV suits.. you name it it was coming for ya.. Forge, Breach forge, swarms, Plasma... YOU WENT 20-1 only. It's sad when 5 people have to struggle for one tank, game breaking if you ask anyone with a brain on their shoulder.
NEXT MATCH, you tried the same thing but got STOMPED OUT and lost 5 pretty decently fit tanks.
This was because you were fighting a rail tank that was in our redline and destroying every attempt you tried.
You deserved it too.
You're just another scumbag tanker who doesn't know when ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Lose the tank and get down and dirty with your infantry folk and ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING to help your TEAM. Which your team did end up losing that match by 1 tick of the MCC's armor... who knows if maybe you had made at attempt to get an objective your team would have come through.

How about you learn to shut up and show some sympathy? The only reason I bring out my wanna-be proto Maddy is because there is literally nothing else I can bring out. Railgun Gunnlogi? Outclassed by proto Maddies. Missile Gunnlogi? Useless. If my top two vehicle fits are useless, then I have no choice but to stomp on others for WP and ISK.

So we just had anecdotal evidence that you went 20-1 in one game and 5/5 in the next - and you made no attempt to fight the battle you just went for distance kills or stomped newbs.
Do you have any defence of that? Do you think it's a legitimate playstyle that should be protected above infantry game?

I'm an armor tanker since beta who had to put up with shield tanks running around with guaranteed-kill missile setups for the longest time.
Your situation is so much better than Armor used to have.
Railguns and distant engagements are what the shields are for. Not front-line combat. It's what they have ALWAYS been advertised as. Get in quick... hit a few times, back out.
Unlike how armor tanks had it, you don't have vulnerability to about 75% of the weaponry out there.
You ran with the obvious "flavor of the month" Missiles and Shield.

Gunnis have no place on the battlefield anymore, outside of the redline or partnering up with at least one other tank. Their advantage over Maddys (more effective hardeners) has been negated and their weakness (recharge delay/amount) has been expanded; their only advantage at this point is their turning speed.
Maddys, on the other hand, are now what Gunnis used to be; the go-to choice for anyone that wants to tank and live. Even then...the cost of losing an advanced tank can wipe out a game or two's earnings, more so for proto (which I haven't skilled into.) If you're attached to your rail turret, you can still fit a cannon onto a Maddy along with at least one hardener and two reppers.

Well I've ran with missile shield HAVs since open beta. I'd imagine you ran with the obvious "flavor of the month" blasters and missiles that lasted from Uprising through 1.6. You've no idea what shield and missile HAVs have gone through. Armor and blasters have had it the best for a longer time.

Yet somehow you went 20-1 in one match and started complaining when infantry started to focus on you. Keep in mind that it's always to be expected to have an entire team come after you after a while of being stomped by you.
I felt like I had the whole world come after me when I entered a match with a pair of Ishukone Nova Knives wrecking people left and right and then see an entire team come after me because they got tired of my knives ending their lives. This was a long time ago and I still took that as a compliment because then that meant I was good enough to get their attention. XD

How about you learn to shut up and show some sympathy? The only reason I bring out my wanna-be proto Maddy is because there is literally nothing else I can bring out. Railgun Gunnlogi? Outclassed by proto Maddies. Missile Gunnlogi? Useless. If my top two vehicle fits are useless, then I have no choice but to stomp on others for WP and ISK. Because proto rail/blaster Maddies are invincible and I can't compete. Then AV scrubs like you show up and **** on a another man's day who's simply trying to make a living. Oh wow! Damn, Harpyja. You got caught red handed by someone who ratted you out and got burned so much that there is not enough ice on the planet Hoth to cool it. Now that the truth is out, you get no sympathy from me.
Look, my passion is fighting other HAVs with my missile Gunnlogi. Very weak infantry killing power. But now it is completely useless. I will resort to any means necessary to keep on tanking. And unfortunately, blaster and rail Maddies are all that work right now. I never call in rails at the start of the match; it's like spawning with a forge gun in ambush. So that only leaves me with a blaster Maddy. And the only way to get WP is to kill infantry.
All I want is for my missile Gunnlogi to once again be able to destroy other vehicles. That playstyle naturally puts me in a constant hit and run which allows me to avoid AV and my weak infantry fighting capabilities forces me to run and survive.
I feel thrown out of my environment in this hotfix as much as a shark taken out of the ocean and thrown into a swimming pool.

This was a long time ago and I still took that as a compliment because then that meant I was good enough to get their attention. XD
But I bet that didn't make you go ISK negative for the next 10 games though.

Actually it did*. But I didn't care and I still don't. I don't have access to a corp wallet and Dust University has yet to be involved in any PC battles (we don't even have our own district) and I have been soloing like a lone wolf for almost... forever. But I still managed to recover my losses because I learned to balance my expenses with my income. If I can't run proto for a while because I'm broke, then I'll spend time running ambush in my Republic 'Tiger' Scout Mk.0 which I earned by grinding FW at a great financial loss.

Which your team did end up losing that match by 1 tick of the MCC's armor... who knows if maybe you had made at attempt to get an objective your team would have come through.
