Just my opinion and observation...
Disclaimer: So my opinion might not agree with yours, and I'm not against anyone here.
I've notice a lot or some of the people here in the forums are more inclined in having this game "ported" (Dust 514 ver 2 or Project Legion for PS4) on PS4. and same goes to PC aka "Project Legion", and we can hear a lot of debates.
So here are the things that are notable in general, that i think they are saying.
Advantages For Pro-Console supporters of this game;
*Should be ported to PS4. to honor the loyalty of the players that supported this game (*cough* to those who use real
money in supporting this game- I Understand on why so.
*They are very much comfortable in playing this game on a console, cause of the following reasons -Casual game, they are
used to in using PS controllers (memory muscle reflex thing)
*They have friends (corp mates/squads), that will play this game if ported to PS4,
mainly because they just want to play it on the console platform and doesn't bother to invest in setting up a PC.
*The idea that since they are using the same client console hardware, means that it will be a fair battle for them.
*The idea of no one is able to cheat on this game , **since no one can use aimbot programs that are found on PC.
*The idea of PS4 can handle the things that should have been implement on PS3 Dust 514. i.e. PS4 is using x86 architecture
*Hassle free of not configuring anything upon installation, you can play it. without worrying about software drivers, hardware
compatibility, etc....
(etc TLDR)
Advantages For Pro-PC supporters of this game;
*No limitation on what devs can implement, due to the super high availability of super PC specs parts.
depends on what is the minimum requirement for playing this game.
-I doubt, that they are going to put the requirements on ultra high. just to play this game.
remember they are targeting PC and console gamers, not all can afford high end pc.
and so you have what we call entry and mid pc's (if you do budget, it can be cheaper versus buying a PS4)
-Even though, some might have an advantage in playing this game due to the following below;
-Hardware, your's might be an entry or mid level PC and his is a monster PC (4K reso, three monitor setup).
Has a better internet connection (network setup, ISP..)
In the end, it is still the player who controls the game character. so even though you have an entry level pc vs high end.
It doesn't matter if you have the monsters skills of playing FPS.
*No need to pay monthly/yearly subscription (ie. PSN subscription if ported to PS4's).
You are only paying for your ISP (unless CCP implements a subscription model)
*Bugs/exploits can be fixed immediately, screenshots from the game with error etc can be send to devs.
-devs will run out of excuses, that they can't fix the bug. due to what? hardware limitation, O.S. environtment
-if an error occurred, error logs can be implement and can be sent to devs.
*A PC can host a game map (i.e. being like a map server or game server) for private matches (friendly matches, practicing
maps for corp battles)
ping and latency will be reflected on the hosting PC server. also can configure map settings;
-allow vehicles: yes or no
-allow friendly fire: yes or no
-allow only users that within the region to join the match
-allow only mlt/adv gear.
-game mode (dom, ambush, free for all, capture the flag, protect the VIP, missions)
*A Test Server, players can play here and help devs in or before implementing game mechanics, weapons etc.
-for balancing stuff in game.
*Sharing real time video of matches via twitch etc;
-can be use for watching corp matches, world tournament matches, pub....
*In game socialization, want to hang out with your corp mates, friends or foes.
-another mode within the game, kinda like PSN world (not sure of the name of it). can be used for recruiting corp
mates (special zone for corp place to hang out).
-Visit your friends mother base, customize your mother base (want to have sexy statues of amarr etc -money for
CCP)
*Sure, there might be what you call aimbot. but we have in game security feature for PC for games (kinda like gameguard if
running a game that hacks to memory allocation of the game it will be terminated).
-also why the hell do you want to cheat on a game for FPS, it's like saying to yourself, you don't have the balls to
fight back and you are a loser for not having any skills at all.
(TLDR)
Notice: I can also post the disadvantages for both sides, but for now i refrain to.
Cause we have some or most of the people here in the forums that are hardheaded.
And it will just *stressful for them to acknowledge the pro's and con's. (might be one of the reason why CCP is not
that open)
In the end, let's be honest to ourselves and be non bias....
Let's help the community and help CCP. (not being selfish, for own benefit)

I know what you mean, on consoles they sell games. But wait there's more, they are going to release a DLC for a game and after a few months a remastered version. Cough..cough..repeat this process and they are really milking money for console games
And here I am, did some research and oh boy  . how cheap it is when they release the ported game to PC (especially if they a promo for the month, steam PC games). But wait there's more, you'll have grand price of having a remastered version with DLC included .
Speaking of games, it's just me or others might be doing this also.
I only moved/buy a console, when they have most of the games that I want.
and for PC they have ported games like MGS series (not all been ported i.e. HD Edition), Dragon Ball Xenoverse, RE series, MGS Rising etc. see list > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_games_using_Steam_authentication.
Also this one of the reason, why I am not yet moving on PS4.
The games that I would like to play on consoles are also available on PC  .
Anyway, this is what I enjoy in forums. having a nice conversion. no debates.
Just plain sharing info and thinking of the things that are in advantage for us consumers.
