I stayed skilled into them because I don't see them as OP, I have killed proto players mid air equipped with 5 or 4 PRO jump mods.
You take 32 damage on flat ground with 4 PRO jumps mods
you probably take roughly 50- 80 hp damage per jump with 5 PRO jump mods.
Additionally you have roughly (4 or 5 x 72 hp = 288hp or 360 hp) less shield hp as well.
in conclusion after 2 jumps with 5 PRO jump mods and taking fittings into account that is (360 + (50 x 2)) = 460 hp that is lost. you also lose stamina with aids in preventing you from running away because the enemy has more stamina
you don't lose that hp when you just use shield mods and ferroscale plates and you can straff (change direction unpredictably) to dodge a few bullets
you are very predictable while jumping
you also don't use potential precision mods and are incentivized to not use damps when using a jumping playstyle.
this is why I have no trouble with high jumping players
I find 3 jump mods are better because you change direction mid air quicker while still throwing off a players aim.
my std amarr suit with 1 PRO scan precision mode and 2 PRO range enhancers gives me, 16 db precision at 15.6 meters, 32 db precision at 39 meters, and 41.6 db precision at 39x2= 78 meters (1 also use 1 adv plate)
look at uprising 1.10 patch notes and see the range modifiers for the 3 drop suit scan ranges by comparing the example numbers given in patch notes.
for a scout it was 4/10/20 meters excluding skill bonuses (the 10 meter range is viewed as 100% range and 20 is 200% range)
now my scout has 30m at 100% range
consider that info and maybe you might like to try more ewar mods on assault suits with rep hives. or scouts.
using a adv amarr assault is much better because your far range scan can get below 41 db, in addition to other potential benefits.

You are missing out on fun times. For me that was just part of maxing out my cores. All cores are maxed except Cloak and Hacking. I dont think the Rat man is going to kill the jumping beans totally. It is good for the game for players to be able to get high without calling in a dropship. |

The ONLY reason I support the present OPness of myo fibs is becausw it totally justifies making tanks and ADS stronger. Can't b*tch if you can jump away like that.

I can jump high so make tanks and drop ships stronger? Lol. In order to jump high I sacrifice almost all ehp. Vehicles don't need buffing |

Myros are unintentionally balanced. Stack too high, you're weak as a potato. Jump too high, and you injure yourself. Jumping is not helpful in battle once people learn to run under the jumper because of turn times.
It really doesn't need diminishing returns, when it diminishes the player on every return. Heh.

Interesting I've been wary too. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching everyone bounce all over the place and it makes for some very satisfying mid air kills. But I'm not convinced that skilling into it will actually help my stats.
Almost certainly I will give in the next time my gallente assault refuses to step over a sweet wrapper because you know... armour plates....
