PS3---with HDMI out and Optical Out enabled----->Goes to
HDCP remover( mine only accepts DVI, so I use a DVI to HDMI adapter) I connect my optical to the box as well, it adds sound to the HDMI out. This cable leads to--->>>
Now the signal is unencrypted, so we send it to the HDMI AC/DC powered splitter next--->

Cable two from the splitter is sent to the "EL Gato"
The "Cat" sends the signal to the computer through a usb cable, the same one the PS3 controllers use to charge.
Their newest drivers take a lot more processing power than their earlier ones did, I think its bugged.
You'll need a decent computer, and internet with good UPLOAD. Try to get Fiber Optics if you can.
The "cat" has an HDMI out, but you'll still need the HDCP stripper to make use of it. Also, it has problems with overscan settings, so part of the games picture will be missing, unless you know how to enter your tvs secret calibration menu. |
