That bright red light that indicates the direction.
I think it would help to locate the AVer, since they are already homing (no skill), i think we should have them highlighted to help us.

Wouldn't matter. If he gets in AV grenade range you're dead. You were dead the second he threw the first one. You don't need help finding him, because you and your tank will be scattered over several square feet. Because AV nades are OP! 
Seriously though. The seek range on the things is tiny. You'll still need to get a decent throw in to get the hit. They're not as homing as you think, especially the Packed ones.
So, no. There shouldn't be a ridiculous light that indicates where the grenade was thrown from.
Here's a tip to help you keep your tank alive vs. AV nades: Roll up with the infantry instead of rolling solo. Support each other, and both sides (infantry and Tanker) will be glad of the support they get. Try it. #TeamworkOP

Normally it's not a problem but I did encounter a glitch/delay/bug/lag where AV grenades killed my HAV without animations or warning.
Weird but I normally do not fall subject to the victim of AV grenades. I prefer to keep a fair distance between myself and cover that infantry might exploit.
