EVE seems to be forgetting who was here first. we were. the merc's of dust. and I want a new map and game mode to remind new eden that WERE STILL HERE.
So without further adieu. LETS HAVE SHIP BOARDING. If CCP are testing AI atm why not put them in the game mode too
I'd like to see a game mode where an EVE player can hire players to do a raid on a ship. In EVE the player would purchase the raid from a station and during an extended fight launch a raid shuttle to attack an enemy ship. if successful a PVP match would start on the ship and the enemy ships player is given the choice to quickly hire dust players who clone in or leave the defence to his onboard AI
The attacking dust players have to capture and hold panels in a tight net collection of corridors and open hanger bays. if we win it causes damage to the EVE ship or slow down systems cooling off or something and if we lose were driven off and the enemy ship. maybe the game mode would only last 8-10 minute's
I want to see EVE players get raided and have to know that some dust merc's causes him to lose a fight. REMIND them that we exist, we were here first and they better not forget it.
FOOTNOTE: I'm a games designer myself and understand pretty much everything I just listed is not only technically difficult but highly improbable. This is just how I feel after tuning into fanfest and seeing dust being no more then a whisper at the event. This community deserves to be recognised as a danger to EVE It should be. Thank you for the read
As an eve player i would rather see sansha incursions become a thing in dust rather than have my ships ability to fight impaired.
In incursions eve players do pve sites to reduce and clear an infestation which affects certain services in the system. The infestation on the planets could affect PI productivity until the incursion is defeated.
Or maybe if someone elses PI is decreazing the output of mine i can raise a contract for a raid to steal some of their output.
Or to take a station or structure without destroying it i can hire mercs to do it. Hack the central computer ownership changes to the contract owner these could be very lucrative given the cost of some structures.
