There has been no change other than Myofibril Stims. This change does not simply favor Assaults.
Still, Sentinels have access to the HMG and Scouts have access to Cloaks. Assaults have no such significant benefit; some make a single weapon better and others make almost no difference.

At 15 meters I killed a proto heavy with a cr and min assault. I rarely ever see heavy or scouts. |

I would suggest not using that kind of reasoning. That's like saying "Ludwig van Beethoven shows that being deaf is not a detriment in the music industry."

You did the same thing. Here are some variables that might have affected the fight:
1. You got the drop on the opponent.
2. Your opponent was focused on a different target.
3. Your opponent was out of ammo or overheated.
4. Your opponent panicked and missed a bunch of shots.
5. Your opponent started at not max health.
6. Your opponent was heavily armor focused, allowing your CR to blow through their health quickly.
7. Your opponent was being shot at by someone else.
8. Your opponent was in an APEX suit and therefore less tanky than you expected.
9. You got a massive amounts of headshots on your opponent, causing you to out DPS him.
10. Any combination of the above.
A single instance doesn't really prove anything. I can tell you, in the games I play, there is an army of Frames and Sentinels with HMG's.

It's more balanced than ever.
I've never seen such a good mix of classes since I started playing this game.
You must not have been here for Scout514, or Tank514. The struggle was real. You could go days without seeing an assault. During Tank514, you'd see 9 tanks, every battle. You'd pray for jeeps on the enemy team which meant one less tank to deal with.
Now the tanks are in check with the massive amount of AV, the scouts keep the heavies in check, and the assaults are...well, assaulting.

Apparently you weren't in the match I just finished, 3 scouts just decimating my team left and right. Two had 60 kills combined. Seems pretty useful to me.
