Good Day,
I'm not sure if all grenades are working properly or not. It's happened a few times over the last week or so, but I wasn't sure if it was just me.
I was in a match where red guy threw a grenade. It landed and I could see it. A team mate killed the red guy. He, another player, and I all backed away from the grenade. It never went off, but the red image disappeared. I don't know if the effects happened or not (we might all have been out of range), but I did not see an explosion.
I don't know if the other two players saw an explosion or not, but they saw the red grenade.

AV grenade's don't blow up if there is no vehicle around to trigger it
also play as Strangeland Stranger (Gal),
Gauntlett5487 (Cal),
and Larlac Theest (Min)

To clarify,
It is entirely possible that this individual was using an AV grenade.
I generally speaking, play against players with proto and advanced gear, suggesting experience. It was also an Ambush, which no longer contain vehicles.
So while plausible, it's unlikely. I've seen similar issues over the last week or two, mostly in ambushes. The idea that several people (or one person again and again) over the last couple of weeks go into Ambushes with AV grenades and all use them as decoys, is again possible, but unlikely.
Do AV grenades that are unexploded show up on scans?

I was just in another match, Ambush.
Red threw a grenade. A Blue player jumped backward. The red grenade just disappeared.
There was no visual explosion. No noise. Game effect unknown.

Now I've thrown grenades and they've blown up, both fluxes and explosive grenades. I've been killed by grenades. I've repped players who threw grenades and I got +35 Guardian.
The only thought here, is maybe the player that threw the grenade died, and maybe somehow that "killed" the grenade?? or as suggested they had an AV grenade - by accident or intention.
I don't know, it's not every grenade.
