I used to play Dust in open beta but have been on my travels for close to two years. I have recently come back into dust and I am keen to try out FW and earn some LP.
However, whenever I try and get into a match I just seem to queue 10+ mins and get bored of waiting 
Is FW dead?
Am I not understanding something? |

Its not been easy since the 5mcc. I think It got quiet then vicious circle, quieter still
Try USA or Europe primetime.

I have been trying at about 19.00 - 21.00 UK time. Never been able to get into one game.
How long should I expect to queue? |

If the timer shows 00:00 you can move on. Rarely does it deploy you.
It usually kicks of at midnight eve, since that's the time where the Amarricans start to play, and they often kick it of. Friday saturday it can start earlier. |

One thing I don't understand, is why us Europeans don't start playing when we get back home from work/school. We could kickstart it and have it running by 20:00.

Dont bother cause FW is dead. The reason why the timer is 0:00 is because nobody is playing it. You could wait for half an hour and still get no match at all.
They say when you die you see a white light which then forms the line of:
"GAME OVER! PLEASE INSERT COIN"

By making FW a 'pc player training ground' and an 'isk sink' they caused it to have a dearth of problems: It's hard to be profitable, it's easy to get totally destroyed by q-syncers and plain and simple no one wants to do it because of the inherent problems with it.
It needs to be its own game mode that can be profitable and doesn't suffer from q-sync crap (which is the next step they want to take with it, after squads get reduced down to 4 man sizes, you'll be able to form a 'super squad' of up to 16 players that can only deploy to PC or fw).
FW is currently a dead game mode.
