A couple days ago i started to think about a use to some descriptions (like the one from Black Eagles, if i can remember correctly) and this topic from Aeon made me recall of it.
It would be an invasion mode. I think some of you maybe got thinking "how everything we use is made?" and "Why we have an Ishukone Assault SMG, if Ishukone is a Caldari Corporation and SMG is an Minmatar Tech?" the same applies to Allotek Nanohive.
This would be a kind of an answer. Instead of got into battles to destroy MCCs and wipe the clones (only) you should inavde the facility/building (think about one of those buildings in some of the maps) get the data and get out of there. This could also be expanded and change a couple of things.
[not PC-mode] Someone steal the plans of a NPC corp to attack another NPC corp in Skirmish or Domination. This could change the count of clones (either by increasing some clones to the defending corp or by decreasing the clones of the attacking corp) or even the price of weapons and equipment.
[PC-mode] You can hack and destroy the clone factory of a given corp. If the districts facilities/research centers idea grow (like, a given corp can make weapons in one of your districts, these weapons after be maked could be used by its mercs or sold in a "corp store") the attacking corp could get in and either steal the production or destroy all the weapons.
[How could be] Considering a building or a facility map for this, it could have 5 to 9 objectives. The Defending team knows what data is inside each objective and can move it. The Attacking team can take any objective but wants one objective, the main objective, without knowledge of the content of any of the objectives. Since could be installed a "virus" in a objective, if one objective is hacked by the Attacking team it becomes blocked for the defending team.
Considering this is an invasion with espionage in it, it could have a time limit (10~12 minutes?) and a uneven amount of players (6 attacking and 8 defending, for example).
Any Corp could hire any merc to do any job and could check what kind of objectives it wants (steal the weapons, destroy the weapons, destroy the clone count before a PC, steal the clones for a PC, etc..)
