It would be nice if it got an extended mag or, more realistically, more ammo from the min assault's bonus.
Dust is there! I was real!

Nope. Specific bonus is to projectile weapons only. Says it on the label.

Do not shoot directly on contender, shoot his legs and under. Crappy hit detection with lag sometimes make rockets go through him even if that is direct hit. Better strategy is two rocket under him than trying to smack him directly.

The original proposed Minass bonus included +1 to explosive weaponry mag size per level, but thank the gods they didn't do that. Something like +x to explosive reserve ammo would be nice and appropriate without being a problem, though.
Reality is the original Rorschach.
Verily! So much for all that.

I run dual flay locks with scouts. Best tip I'd offer is to try to maintain an height advantage to your opponent. With scouts we usually run red bottles, I run both green and red, having my green a llevel higher than the red. Why? Because if I don't have the heigh aadvantage I'd like to have enough stamina to be able to sprint jump over and behind them to shoot them. Believe it or not but I use flaylocks on a std dragonfly scout. Even though. I have proto min scout and adv gal scout. When engaging targets that are far, the rocket does arc. When trying to hit a moving target shoot where he's heading, basically lead your shots to land where they will be, not where they are. |

There's a lot to consider. Hit detection is funky with exploives. Not all shots register correctly or even at all. Which is why it's a almost a must to gain some sort of height advantage. For example have you ever walked around and couldn't get passed a one inch curb and have to jump over it? Well this bug tends to affect explosive weapons ALOT. Some of the shots get bugged and doesn't register, from poor hit detection and/or bugged terrain. If you can't get height advantage try to land direct body shots. Or rush your opponent and shoot just a little ahead of you towards them as you jump. I carry two flaylocks, and I tend to flux them and rush charge. Jump over and behind them and keep that moment until they're dead. |
