DUST Lore being rewritten/written out?

Lady MDK Kameira Lodge Amarr Empire 329	Posted - 2015.03.19 18:50:00 - [1] - Quote ok we have a shiney new eve trailer : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s3060a8NkOk It is a well known fact that the tech that makes immortal DUST mercs possible is the implant harvested from sleeper bodies found in wormhole space - it is even part of the intro film to dust. Yet in this new trailer if you listen around 1:10 the voiceover says the sleepers are harvesting bodies because theirs have withered away?? WTF CCP? Is dust being written out of eve lore here or what? Anyone getting annoyed by reading of the above post should consider the following. I don't care so neither should you :)

The sleepers, probably, exist with their minds purely on the virtual network (thus "sleepers") We stole the implants in their old bodies (now corpses mostly) and over-rode their save files with our stuff to make mercs ver 1. Bad Stuff happens with salvaged tech. We use tech, make new things based off of it, leading to current gen mercs. Sleepers meanwhile are trying to get back from their virtual realities, but they are missing bodies / other bodies unable to sustain a living person. So they start to salvage, and who better than those who conveniently sent out all sorts of data unwittingly on their own tech? (Mercs ver 1) If anything, all this stuff with sleepers is DIRECTLY CAUSED BY Dust Merc Origins.

To ensure they did not die, they suspended their race, went into the VR to live / seek a cure. We mucked around and caused some trouble by causing some destruction (and stealing a few chips, thus killing some of them) Now that they are back, they have to have some solution to the issue which made them all need to "sleep" in the first place. Part of that plan seems to be salvaging people. in short: The sleepers are basically all stage 4 cancer patients who just found out how to get a new lease on life: using us (Residents of New Eden)

Which is why it was such a big deal when they found an intact body and implant to reverse engineer. Most sleeper bodies are completely gone or unsalvageable. Its not being written out at all.
