Of course people are gonna have this reaction after all that's happened. CCP has to take some money away from R&D and invest it into PR. Those of us that remain are still shaken, if not for the efforts of CCP Ratitties and the current CPM, i doubt we'd have any type of player base at all. We put our trust and money into this game, it's pretty understandishable that people are gonna be cautious. Oh, I certainly expected this thread, Cody. As far as getting more PR, bad PR is what got us into those problems in the first place. I'm not confident more PR would be better. It's an absolute f'in surety that more PR would get Dust laughed at after all this time. At the level of fundamental fps gameplay virtually nothing has changed.

Yes, because it's the highest of ethics to not pay for anything for a game you play and presumably enjoy. Peeps need to be informed about what they're getting into. Given our history and current lack of information from the developer it's honestly an open question what peeps should expect when purchasing 'permanent' items in Dust.
It's the kind of thing i would want to know before spending money, but Dust's history is already long and convoluted and there's really no way somebody downloading the game for the first time would know any of it.
If peeps want to spend $$ on Dust that's great, the more the better, so long as they know what they're getting into. Caveat emptor always applies, ofc, but we can at least clue in the marks as to what game is being played ahead of time.
