The vas majority of the community, vets and new players alike, all agree that the closed beta stage of Dust was great compared to what we have now.
Don't get me wrong. I remember all the bs that used to happen back in the day (my most hated one will forever be dumb fire swarms and Mario Dropships. When they used to fall from the sky and literally stomp the players)
But all what Dust really needed back then was
1) Polishing
2) The weapons we have now
3) More maps to follow and compliment Skirmish 1.0 (I will never understand why they replaced it with Skirmish 2.0)
4) The obvious nerfs to certain weapons back then
Sadly, what we have now is what appears to be a half-assed attempt at mixing Call of Duty Black Ops with Advanced Warfare andBattlefield.
The Forums are a special place.

Only thing I liked better was skirmish 1.0.
The two maps I've played were still bad, the hot detection was horrible, pretty much everything was bad. Having actual music was cool, but like the one we have now, it was pretty dull and it looped every 10 seconds or so.
I didn't create my character back in beta. I've played it at a friend's house, but those two matches I've played wouldn't stand up to the ones we have today. |

4 out of 5 dentists agree that AIM is good. i'm still using Crest though so ya... my game is bad. and I know it!
but DUST is good. =\
p.s. i loved the weight of it all and the TTK of closed beta. but i still think overall current is better. INVALID FITTING!!!!!

Heck, people still think that most vehicles were good back pre-1.7 when really it was just the armor tanks.
