Don't be surprised if some changes come, and when they do, it won't be solely based upon people complaining about them. Hopefully it will be more "get the other Assaults up" rather than "put that one back in line."

Don't be surprised if some changes come, and when they do, it won't be solely based upon people complaining about them. Hopefully it will be more "get the other Assaults up" rather than "put that one back in line." That assumes that the MinAss is balanced. If it is not, then all you are doing is making all Assaults over perform. Between Alpha and Charlie Minjas were greatly under performing, but the answer to fixing them wasn't merely to bring them up to par with other scouts that were vastly over performing. That shouldn't be the goal, the goal should be a balance between all roles to make them equally viable, or as close as can reasonably be expected. The other suits give up less than they receive, other than Assaults.
Scouts: Give up EHP to get Speed, E-War, and Cloak. Commando: Give up Speed to get more damage and versatility with Light Weapons. Logistics: Give up EHP to gain bonuses to Support and additional Equipment slots. Sentinel: Give up Speed to gain access to a unique weapon group and lots of EHP. Assaults: Just kind of there as slightly better basic frames.
I would argue that the only reason the Minmatar Assault is the go to Assault is that it does a trade while the others don't. Unlike all the other Assaults, it loses a small amount of EHP to gain a fairly big chunk of speed. The difference between my Prototype Caldari Assault and a Prototype Caldari Frame is 1 high slot, 65 more Shield, 35 more Armor, and getting .5 less Armor Repair a second. Sure, I can reload my Rail Rifle faster (2.4 rather than 3.2) and I get a fitting reduction on Light weapons and Sidearms but it is no different than the most basic of basics. The Minmatar is the only one that is actually good/great.
The other Assaults are pretty bad. I have thought for the longest time that they have all been in the doghouse. Naturally, there is one that is not: the Minmatar Assault. I would like to see the Assault role as a whole move up a bit rather than just the Minmatar being put back with the rest of the Assaults. Maybe the Minmatar is too powerful, I don't really know. However, I still think it is better for all Assaults to at least meet halfway.
