Don't be surprised if some changes come, and when they do, it won't be solely based upon people complaining about them. This may very well be the case. But when using metrics such as these we will always have a "1, 2, 3, 4" ranking results. in other words, something will always be the most used, most efficient. If we nerf that, something else moves up. What then?
Progress is made with each iteration as long as extremes are drawn inward toward the mean.

If we nerf that, something else moves up. What then? Progress is made with each iteration as long as extremes are drawn inward toward the mean. So when does it end? When performance is measured by .0001? It never ends. CCP has much bigger endeavors with this game that would make it more popular, but gets bogged down in this meaningless crap which at this point is such a small problem. It speaks to the level CCP is governed by the ever complaining, ever unhappy forum who hates dying in a FPS. I don't know how much time DUST has left, but with the limited resources I would much rather they focus on adding content or fixing bugs then balancing at this point. I don't know. I see it and it's pretty clear but I guess I am the minority.
It really depends on the degree of separation. If there are outliers in the efficiency data, then we should address them. If there are items with substantially disproportionate usage rates, then we should address them. If the MN Assault is or becomes significantly distanced from the median / norm, then we should address it. Otherwise, we should let it be.
In other words, "slightly better" or "slightly worse" aren't problems worth solving. But we certainly shouldn't ignore "significantly better" and "significantly worse".
