So I was helping a friend with "Vehicle Kill Assists" so he could earn his Active Omega Booster. The method we chose to use was heavy taxi. The entire time, proto swarms kept wiping us out. Its understood a ton of damage will be done. But when a single volley wipes us out every time, it's just ridiculous.

Tip for the future: despite the description of that mission outright telling you that you need to be a small turret gunner, kill assists using any vehicle weapon apply.
When I get that mission and its an obstacle for some juicy reward, I call in some somas and go to town carefully tagging everyone I see once with the large blaster and speed away giggling waiting for some blueberry to actually kill them
expect to lose 2/3 of them a match though  |

The only viable way of getting these missions done is being a gunner in a tank. Since there are som many tanks rolling around, I'd give a random a pop, just use a free suit and look out for tankers on your team. A Tanker friend is optimal obviously. |

2. Ride thru map as a boss and 'mark' people with blaster...
3. Wait for kils from ANY source at marked infantry.

I use the large blaster installations for those. It counts them for the vehicle assist mission.

Yup, LAVS are paper bags now.
One volley/AV nade and you're done.
Instead of making LAVS exclusive for medium and light frames, they decreased LAV hp.

Grimenses or Myron with two rocket launchers ftw. If your pilot is kind enough to slowly rotate over the burn zone, you can rack up a bunch of VKA points. |

Wrong on 2.
Sit back very far away from everyone while having a clear view on all of the enemies. You will deal nearly no damage to them, but it's enough to get kill assists.
I got 17 assists this way in one domination match once.

LAV's are literally paper now. I guess from an AV perspective it seems a lot better, but its really annoying being on the other end. Oh whale.

If it's "kill assists while in a friendly driven vehicle," that means as a gunner in a friendly driven vehicle, not getting out as infantry when in a vehicle and killing enemies.

Good thing is that these Heavy LAV scrubs explode before they can get out of their LAV now :D
And it's not about swarm, LAVs are for simple transport now, and that's fine.
Fix the game before trying to add anything else.
(Hint: hit detection, lags, glitches,.. you've got some work :) )

If you have SP invested into vehicle skills it shouldn't be a problem to achieve that mission in tank, LAV, or Dropships. The problem is many players choose to call in a BPO LAV with nothing fitted in the Low slot or High slot. I tend to notice that only the turret is changed or maybe one LAV with a nitro. Other than that it's a defenseless LAV that begs to be destroyed, because by this point everyone has a swarm launcher or a mimnando swarm suit.

I only run these days, not getting a death over 1 swarm/ 1 forge or 1 AV nade.. It's really stupid
