Amount of SP means nothing since you can create an alt on a different account and let it sit on passive SP or if you have a lot of money, buy a shit ton of boosters and have incredible amounts of SP in no time. Warpoints also mean nothing since there are various ways to earn Warpoints easily. Logis get the most warpoints of course. Boosters as well. Time spent in the game is what classifies you as a vet. I have been playing Dust 514 since June 2012 (somehwat deep in closed beta). Oh. And the amounts of QQ There is a reason why most vets QQ The Forums are a special place.

This is mostly useful for Pubstars. Bitter Vets have 50+ Mil SP. This is most PC players who have fought in many of the wars over the years, like myself. Most of us bittervets will say you aren't a vet unless you went through open beta at least. That being said, most mmo's will give "veteran" rewards after a year. I don't have time to live on the game, I have a full time job and spend a couple hours a night on. Anyone with the time to play can easily surpass me in SP now because of the ever increasing SP rewards. I agree with Pagl1uM's description of a vet. There are many individuals who are Skilled at the game and have a lot of SP, but skill and SP still do not equal Vet. Only time served does. I do not know what CCP's definition of VET is or where they start the 150 WP expectation. Closed Beta Vet Minmatar Logistics I Repair, Revive, and Replenish. Leave the slaying for Assaults and Heavies.

Hahah in my very early days of DUST I was in pro and I didn't even know we had a melee button for the longest of time. When/if DUST becomes Legion, someone who started playing 3 months in the future will be a "Dust Veteran" as Legion turns one year old. When I first started, Vets were people who were there in closed beta and I was just the new guy coming in despite having the same amount of SP as them (open beta wipe). Now I am a bitter vet, indeed, having played the game two years. When/if AURlords becomes something different in a year or so, people who started playing at Uprising can qualify. It is mostly SP and time invested in the game. If you have enough that you are getting to the point that you are having difficulty finding a reason to get SP to purchase things you want, that is a veteran to me. Sure, vets can still want some stuff (perhaps a new role or a different racial suit) but it isn't a matter of trying to become effective. I 'only' have 46.5 million SP while I know some of the people that started when I did have well over 100 million by now. So time because important. "This is B.S! This is B.S! I paid money! Cash money, dollars money, cash money!"
