The area of effect should not exists because it is ment for direct hit on vehicles. If there needs to be an area of effect then it needs to be reduced in damage in the area.
Plasma is like lava projectile and does not explode. It actually melts thing on contact once it sticks.
When shooting plasma the area struck by it melts unless on ground which causes it to stay in a puddle till the air cools it down to a rock or crystal.

This wouldn't help, but I took out a PLC, shot at a random building and killed someone. Don't Nerf it!

It's a massive ******* ball of hot plasma that splashes out when it hits it's target hence the splash radius . It's not a solid state slug it's a ball of plasma contains in a weak magnetic field.

But it would splash as a suspended particles are released from their containment field and start rapidly moving about.

Your logic is ridiculous I dint even use it and I still think its fine why is it when a weapon (like rr bolt pistol flaylock plasma cannon) can be usefull agaisnt other weapons like sayyy ( combat rifle ass rifle scr rifle) people cry nerf the weapon requires practice a good anount of sp and people running speed suits who think ohh I can out stafe anything cant avoid it it still only holds on bullet though I will admit that plus flaylock is new flavor stiiiill dont think this weap requires nerf ohh and long range agaisnt infantry is usess unless u get lucky shots but like I said if your camping ohh yea this weapon is your worst enemy |

Its not gonna happen. Plasma cannon has quite the learning curve and not many people use it because of that same reason. Its what balances the weapon out and the splash damage isnt even that much. its a bit underpowered to be honest
How many amarr does it take to change a light bulb? none. The minmatar do it for them

Are you for really the blast radius is like 2 meters and its quiet difficult it actauly hit moving targets
As well as failing at proto stomping I enjoy long walks on the beach and plasma cannoning people in the face

Wrong, plasma is not like lava. Lava is hot molten rock. Plasma is ionized-gas. To dumb it down for you a bit, lighting is actually a form of plasma. |

Nope. This is the first legitimate Nerf plasma cannon w/ QQ combo I have ever seen.
It's been a long time coming, but we are finally worthy of a Nerf thread.
As long as 5/6 (83%) of infantry AV weapons are Anti Armor based you're never going to achieve vehicle balance CCP

Plasma wouldn't harden or crystallize. Plasma is heated gas (sort of). When it loses energy it goes back to it's original gaseous state. |

they need to bring back the splash on the fg thats what they need to do as far as the plc its fine where it is at currently |

Yep guys lava sticks to things when it hits objects with great force sarcasm,also do you study plasma no plasma doesn't even look like that the sun is made of plasma fire and lightning are also plasma. Plasma is incredibly non-dense and objects with low density tends to spread when it hits things lava is not as dense but does has the same effect when thrown will splatter.
