When I active the damage mod I can no longer fire the blaster, which is difficult to show obviously. This can be resolved by getting out of the tank and getting back in, but as you can see my damage mod is no longer active.
This is a bug that has been around for a while but I'm noticing it a lot more now, which may be because of Hotfix Echo, or because I have to run a damage mod much more frequently to break the armour reps.
This means i end up just dancing around with the other tank (since it's pro and I'm in basic)

Old, old bug. That has been around for so long it should be getting retirement checks by now. ;-)
Just to let you know the love is shared with all main tank turrets, touch a module and there is a significant chance your railgun won't work either. Same old, same old. Too old, too old.
Now we can run 1.2M ISK tanks and get popped even faster without being able to fire back.
My favorite tank is a Lightning. Just sayin.

True, there has been the dreaded "after module activation your main turret refuses to fire" -bug. It's possible it only affects blasters as I haven't used those in ages and haven't noticed the bug in a long time as well.
BUT In your video there is a another possibility for the cause: If two tank hulls hug each other, turrets possibly clipping onto each other, turrets are unable to fire (all types of main turrets). This may be by design.
In the video is very hard to tell which is the case as right after the activation there's the contact.
Looking at both sides of the coin.
Even Aurum one.

its happened a few times but this was the only one recording
I don't think it's the collision issue though as i try to fire before that, and you can see once i hop back in that the damage mod is on cooldown when it's meant to last 20+ seconds

Also, it was a proto tank. He had a complex heavy plate, leaving room for three heavy reps. |
