Anyway, this just goes to show that the community was blinded by celebrity and voted for someone who was genuinely worthless as a CPM candidate. Hopefully the community will learn from that mistake and actually vote for someone with legitimate merit instead of 20+ videos talking about how awesome the ADS is.
Am I being harsh? Of course. Dude wasted a spot on the CPM that could have gone to someone that could have really made a difference. That's like the biggest kitten you to the community you can possibly make.
Can't wait to see the lunatic the community votes for in CPM 2.

And what 'help' is a guy who will abandon you as soon as he gets told no? lol I prefer to think of him as someone who, like me, holds just as much rage as love for this game. Couple that with a totally unresponsive CPM and CCP when it comes to his speciality, along with his family issues, and I say he made the perfect choice. This is a game. A not very good one at that. He shouldn't put unneeded stress on himself for it, and I commend him for stepping down instead of wearing himself into the ground for a thankless cause.
Step Down?
That did not happen at all.
If he had step down he would been posting about his own removal not me posting about it.

I do not think any of us outside of CCP, CPM, and made some of Judge's closest friends that are informed enough to speak on the subject.
Whatever actually happened I wish judge the best as I did always love his videos and thought he was a pretty good gamer. |

but by being elected (and by a sizeable margin) it adds legitimacy to his opinions and approach to the game

if you were to campaign on the basis of, bring more Anime influence into dust, people got behind your message and elect you to the CPM.
Once elected you are greeted with the CCP feedback, "nope, don't really watch it, but this guy here says Anime is just tentacle ****" you wouldn't be too happy
You're right, I'd go to the forums and incite change immediately, I wouldn't quit after convincing people for months to vote for me.
There's no situation, logic, or excuse you can really use to justify his idiocy. If he had left because of 'life' that would be one thing - but he left because he got told no, lol.
And vote turn-out takes away any legitimacy to the idea that getting the most means you're the most heard - it just means he incited the most people to actually go out and vote - I'm guessing the majority of those votes aren't even from hardcore player-base - just casuals who enjoy youtube.
an example would be the like counts posts get - even a popular one will never break 100 likes, it's very rare. In fact, most of the CPM didn't even get 70 votes, only judge did with over 300.
He tricked people using videos into thinking he knew what he was doing then proved to them he only knew one thing - Dropships, and he couldn't even do that.

That's what you nerds get for latching onto anyone who makes videos about this game, making them into some niche celebrity.
Even if all the videos are 20 minutes rants on forge guns or some bs.

It's not that he couldn't have been a good CPM member. He could've been a great CPM member, and had lots of potential to help the game. It's just he didn't WANT to be. He had the knowlege and the know-how to do great stuff, but no one could've predicted he leave, and as to why, the exact reason we'll never know.

At the time it appeared he was an incredibly hard working member of the community, not simply a celebrity. For whatever reasons, that was wrong.

There were about a dozen other hard working members of the community, a handful of them ran for CPM.
This dude made some videos and everyone fell in love with him for it.

He took a 5 minute break from Destiny to post on the forums about the ADS nerf. He was well into his not doing **** well before the ADS was nerfed. |

Judge was elected to the CPM and with the high percentage of the vote, was given a strong mandate to apply the analysis he had shown in his videos to the game
CCP Rattati thought, **** it, Pythons are performing too well in this anti armour AV environment, lets bust out the CCP nerf hammer (which is double sided to allow that also 'buff the counter of the thing we're nerfing')
Judge, upon realising they weren't going to listen to him, thought **** it and quit the game

He had quit long before the ADS was nerfed. If he hadn't quit scrub lord Soraya wouldn't have been able to get it nerfed so hard.
