It was ruined
when it first come out, shield hardener has 60 resistance and armor one has 40%, but the shield one have shorter active time and longer CD, while the armor one have longer active time and shorter CD.
Then, they changed shield to 40% and armor to 30%, which makes shield one weaker comparatively.
Now, both of them makes 40% resistance, but shield one still have shorter active time and longer CD, while the armor one still have longer active time and shorter CD.
SO, what I want to say is shield hardened is completely underpowered.

No, Flux Grenade are not Strictly AV.
so you think it should have 10s more CD and 12s less active time for just 5% resistance?also, heavy rail turret deal more damage to shield( if I remember correcty)

Let's look at the Anti-Shield AV weapons: Large Blaster Turret
Plasma Cannon
Flux Grenades (tho they are not strictly AV so Idk if I should count them)
Even with the new hardnera for armor, armor tanks will always be at a disadvantage do to the overly abundant anti-armor AV in this game.
but do you remember that armored vehicles have more hp?
