It would be nice if the drop uplinks detected Remote Explosives being on top of them.
Ya know, I don't like losing a life because of a Remote Explosive being on the uplink. Something that I can not counter because I do not have any intel on it and since the game lags spawning in, I can not move away from it.
Any chance you could change that Rattati?

Careful with RE scan profile. Surely the intent has not been to reveal them with dropsuit 24/7 passive scans. That would kill two thirds of what's left of RE 'proper' trap use.
Having a special variant of uplinks which has some scan radius and medium value, that's a good idea and I'm all for it.
But please (even though I'm an uplink spammer) do not make it a default that REs are visible because of uplinks. It's valid gameplay. (IF you think that instadeath on spawn is terribly wrong, then fix the spawn invulnerability to shield from blast radii; currently REs flaylocks MDs and vehicle turrets kill even with shield on while rifles and HMGs do zero damage)
Looking at both sides of the coin.
Even Aurum one.

I thought they already did? I've noticed recently a few RE's on top of uplinks before spawning in and was under the impression that the passive scans were working.

Here's an idea, give Rexplosives a scan radius. Since we solve one problem to create the next, let's allow the red dot to show up while on top of my remote at that objective, because you know I'm too busy engaging enemies to look at the top of my screen to notice players standing on my RE even though they're at the objective and its flashing. Scouts have so little bandwidth that uplinks and a remote barely a viable fit mimscout screwed on jump mod as not enough highs to compete w cal scout on any lvl, chk pg |
