Without sounding as though I'm questioning the overdue need of buffing Logis I have to say, if you haven't already learned to adjust with tactical changes you may not have been running an effective Logi long enough. Squish, regardless the rest of the gameplay meta, is par for the course.

Buffing the multiplier (Logis) buffs the end product (overall success) of the factors (the force)
If the multiplier is zero (dead Logi) then the multiplicative effect is zero.
Buffing Logis buffs the force.
