Tested Krin's to see if it is a display error or if it is truly not applying properly. Test would not be possible without the help of Interstellar Marine, thank you for being my guinea pig.
Test #1
Test #1 was using a 'Guardwire' Bolt Pistol on a CalAssault with 707 shield. First trial was to test the BP with no damage mods at all. Shot reduced shield to 500 HP, thus dealing 207 damage. Shot a second time to confirm. Next was to switch to a suit with 3 stacked Krin's. Shot reduced shield to 480, dealing 227 damage. A second shot was taken to confirm. 3 Krin's provided about 9.6% more damage (227 / 207) than with no damage mods by my math.
Results: Krin's is working for sidearms. May be applying less damage than it should, I ask someone with more knowledge of stacking penalties to confirm my results.
Test #2
Test #2 was using a 'Templar' Scrambler Rifle on a CalAssault with 707 shield. A fully charged shot was used to ensure accurate results. 1st trial was with no damage mods. Shot reduced shield from 707 to 333 for 374 damage. A second shot was taken to confirm. 2nd Trial was with 3 stacked Krin's. Shot reduced shield from 707 to 296 for 411 damage. 3 Krin's provided a 9.8% increase in damage by my math (411 / 374)
Results: Krin's is working for Light weapons. I ask someone with better knowledge of stacking penalties to calculate if it is providing the proper bonus.
Test #3
Test #3 was using a forge gun on a friendly Sica I called in using a 'Strumborne' Forge Gun on a sentinel gk.0. Only one shot was taken to prevent getting booted from FW. No krin's reduced Sica shield from 2200 to 1076 for 1124 damage. 2 Krin's decreased Sica shield from 2200 to 991 for 1209 damage. Krin's provided about 7.5% extra damage over no mods (1209 / 1124)
Results: Krin's is applying properly. I ask someone with more knowledge of stacking penalties to confirm my results.
Conclusion
Krin's is applying extra damage to both sidearm, light, and heavy weaponry. It appears to only be a display error in the fitting screen. It feels like I should see a bigger difference in damage between no Krin's and 3 Krin's, so perhaps it isn't applying fully. In any case, I provide the data gathered in a spreadsheet below for all to see.

Rattati has liked the OP, so he has seen the results of the test. I feel better now. Could someone run the numbers gathered here against theoretical bonuses to determine if Krin's is giving the full bonus listed? Do the numbers gathered match up with what should really happen?

I have a favor to ask. Could you run the exact same test, but switch out one of the Krin's with a Light Damage Mod(preferably Complex)? And then run another test with just 2 Krin's?
I want to see how the stacking penalty transfers from one mod to a different type of mod. I'm curious if the Light Damage mod also applies a penalty to the sidearm damage part of the Krin's.

Obviously the "No Krin's" figures include this percentage, but I have to ask in case;
Could Proficiency and Warbarge Subsystem Damage percentages be reducing the Krin's effectiveness?
I only ask because I like to know specifics, I assumed they stacked without penalty, being three separate methods of increasing damage.

CCP any chance of looking at the dropsuit readouts for damage increase? It shows unstacked damage based on light damage mods which we know isn't correct, not sure what it does related to warbarge modules or sidearm damage mods, but basically if this information was broken out separately to the individual weapon slots, and any stacking penalties applied, we would be able to know these answers already.

Not been keeping up with tank / AV performance but I did run around yesterday in my Minmando with ADV schwarma launcher and 2x complex light damage mods. Not sure what sort of tanks I was shooting at, but definitely need 3 or more launches to take out a tank.
If I remember and you think it useful, I will put a PRO launcher on tonight, play around with the complexes and the Krin's, and record what happens... |

After stacking penalties, 3 krins would yield about a 9.8 percent damage increase. So, stacking penalties are applying correctly.

According to the stacking penalty calculator 3 Krin's should be giving a 10.08% bonus. This is very close to what happens in game. Is it possible that Krin's is giving a lower bonus, or could my own proficiencies and augmented ammo facility leading to the small discrepancy
