Just random ideas or poorly thought out additions based on a short term monetization strategy or listening to the fukcing forums.
The same effort could have been put into fewer updates that addresses the core mechanics of the game, enhanced performance, or added more genuine content in terms of weapons, vehicles or game modes.
I know that everyone gets excited when a new update is released, but that's CCP's power to seduce you. Afterwards you always realise that the game hasn't actually improved. What crack are you smoking?
Rattati has had way more vision and sense of balance than any of the crap that came before him.
Between the simultaneous tank buff/AV nerf, putting in game pieces that could not be used in lieu of actual game balances, and plain old haphazardness of pre FF development, what we have now is amazing.
He didn't have the resources to add more content, and did amazing things with the limited resources he has.
I have many frustrations about the game, but if you think it was better before FF 14, you are possibly the most clueless person here.

Even worse is that the idea of the Warbarge is to have the "flotilla" for Planetary Conquest meaning the Corporation with the best Warbarges (IE, spent the most money) will have the best results.
A true shame. Its no different than having AUR weapons and suits and boosters. Its not like people are buying things that aren't accessible otherwise.

It wouldn't even be that bad if a) there was no damage bonus or b) you couldn't buy warbarge components, only salvage on field, through strong box, and daily production. But the fact that you can literally buy components which directly and immediately turn into damage is absolutely horrible. But isn't there some cool down mechanism or something associated with that? I remember hearing people talk about it as if it was done in such a way that wasn't abusive.
