Oh massive caramel Matari balls if you thought it was hard to run fit LAVs before you've got another thing coming, I'm not sure if it would have mattered if the Dev's didn't nerf the HP so much shiny AV you'd think it's newyears' day.

I've made several threads both before and after HF-Echo about the state of LAVs. Rattati has said that they'll be buffed with more PG/CPU, but honestly what they need is more slots (with adequate PG/CPU). I've asked him why he's so against adding more slots, but he's yet to reply.
Hang in there, hopefully it gets sorted soon. My optimistic theory is that Rattati is holding out for STD/ADV/PRO parity with LAVs and DSs, or that they're bringing back old variants (LLAV/SLAV). Time will tell.

Please. I Jihaded my lav into two proto tanks this morning.
I lost three via tank fire though, but that was because of small blasters hitting my REs and causing me to suicide, thus demonstrating the improvements to Blaster turret dispersion

LAVs will probably need a similar treatment to what HAVs got (Moar slots), but that's something with widespread implications that might take a little while to be implemented. While I like the concept that unfit vehicles are (As they should be) made of tinfoil and glass, they need to be able to reach a usable potential when fit. (Some would argue that the LAVs can reach that when fit, however their lack of slots means that they cannot be survivable enough while mounting the utility you'd expect out of a General Purpose vehicle). Completely Free Jihad Jeeps needed to die in a fire though...and not the kind they get when they ram into a proto-HAV...the kind where they get gunned down before that happens (circumstances not withstanding, like the HAV operator being tunnel visioned or just bad)
