they do more damage than locus nades. they benefit armour fits too much. they make infantry cqc an armour fight.
id say they should do the same splash damage of their equivalent locus. they still wipe out equipment, they make cqc fairer for shield tanking infantry.
a comparison -
basic flux grenade does 1200 splash damage with a 6m range (1200 shield 0 armour)
basic locus does 300 (240 shield 360 armour)
lets take 2 suits with 900hp. shield suit has 600 shield 300 armour armour suit has 300 shield 600 armour
shield tank gets hit with a flux, all shield is gone, left with 300hp an armour tank will have their shield gone. left with 600hp
not take the same suits being hit with a locus - the armour destroyer
the shield will lose 240hp - left with 640hp armour will lose 240 too, as its all shield damage - so its left with 640hp.
this is not fair.
make flux same as locus and its a lot fairer, both suits would end up with 600hp after being splash damaged by a flux and 640 with a locus.
the reality is probably even more skewed due to extenders crippling regulators. armour is easier to stack, has bigger benefits, and has hives, repper modules and logis to rep it - Good luck getting an effective shield suit to 900hp, where an armour suit is easy to get to 1000hp with minimal sacrifices.
only problem is AV will moan about how they supposed to take a shield HAV down without fluxes. For that I'd just have flux AV nades that are magnetic like the standard AV nades.

Are you mad. The flux was designed to be the inbertwen of Av and infanty . Yes if timed corrected it leaved a caldari defensless . But how often do people carry fluxes they are under used . Plus if they made the changed you want they would be usless against shielded av

Id like a grenade that does armor damage and only armor damage. It would leave shields and base clone HP, but would have a Flux sized splash, and do 0 shield damage. That way, armor tankers can enjoy the feeling of having your entire main tank wiped by a single press of R2.
Also, there should be an OB that you can call that does this in a huge radius as well.

Dude you do realize that Flux grenades are designed to hurt the shields. It doesn't hurt your armor. Core locuses eat up My suits, and I'm fully tanked out in armor. And In general I never have problems with fluxes when I run my Covenant Assault. I don't get what you're upset about. Try building a suit that's build to come back quickly with Regulators, energizers, and rechargers, and One extender. You'll get much more use out of that suit, and that's how shield based suits are supposed to work anyways. Flux grenades are not OP in terms of how much damage they do. Sidenote: Flux grenades against tanks if anything is UNDERPOWERED. One proto flux grenade does not even fully wipe an unhardened MLT shield tank with no extenders's shield.
I'm one of the blueberries that Isn't useless, cause I always have a rep tool, and USE IT. B)

You want to nerf a grenade...
that can't actually kill anything?
*facepalm*
PS. I run a Minja, which is a primarily shield reliant suit, so if I can run it and not cry about Flux grenades, I fail to see why someone else should have problems with them.

It still kinda applies to LAVs. Maybe. It might be a feature, but if you get one under an LAV, it does armor damage.

That was a glitch that used to occur in earlier patches. Its fixed now.
Use dampeners and dmg mods for CQC with shield suits. Its how they are designed, or use a very high shield regen fit at long range. |

Caldari are shield tankers and attack from large distances (missiles, sniper, rail guns, forge, long range weapons etc).
Gal scouts can get close to them and wipe them. Deal with it. Dont let gallery's near you. The best solution I can give you is to dual tank.

a minja is a stealth and speed reliant suit, you dont get to comment on this.

Lost a python to a flux don't sleep. Was in a PC but it was a noshow. I was floating around my corp mates then they started tossing fluxes... Cool lost my shields then BAM! died to a flux grenade hitting the ship.

I would suggest my POV is more reasonable than that of a QQer who thinks he can dictate who can and cannot post on a thread in the Dust forums.

Tell you what. If Locus Grenades cannot damage shields, or kill... ...then it would be reasonable for Fluxes to do the same damage as them.
So basically, no.
Until then(which will be never), Fluxes are fine.

Instead of whyning maybe you should consider, oh i dont know, changing to armour based suits/tanks. Im a caldari, you dont see me complaining, sure they do more damage but lets face it, unless your going up against a tank, it only uses some of its damage. They cant kill they are meant for softening target, locus grenades can kill
I love this game but it makes me rage so much.
Star wars battlefront 3 coming out, so excited!!
