Dust 514 is an aging game, it's long past it's release date and often feels like it hasn't really got anywhere Rattati and CCP have but in some good work with balancing changes, but a lot of the imbalance is in players new/old that will always be an issue, some have experience, SP and ISK making a deadly combination and they are faced against opponents who lack all 3 of the above.... a rinse/repeat cycle of grinding
Servers never offer fair fights, there are a couple of vets, a number of blueberries and some gamers in squads battles are decided by who is on which team, and how many of them can and will push to win the match Proto gear is a large deciding factor in these pushes, a vet sits on ISK and can sacrifice several, new guys cannot some players have mixed opinions, they may exclusively run Proto, or attempt to avoid it unless needed. Mercs care for their KDR as with most FPS, in Dust it's amplified by a good KDR making you rich. The community will follow the adapt or die mentality and HTFU and git gud with any changes you make One thing they will not do, is willingly sacrifice their own KDR, ISK or love of slaughter to balance battles
I treat my clone like any other Matari slave, disposable and not worth all that much regardless of cost getting in the thick of a fight and challenging better slayers is an enjoyable experience. but not for everyone For months games have been upto 20minute grinds, where it's decided how much the vets on either side add influence to the result, be it slaying, support or point defence, and who can afford to do it for longer
Squads + Matchmaking do not work well, some squads have 6 slayers, some do not they are just grouped to enjoy the game and make use of the modes, playstyles available when facing an enemy team, it take 1/2 slayers using better gear to make a real impact at times with 32 people in a server, less than 12 have any contribution to winning the match
We can blame, NPE, Vets, Scrubs, Tryhards, Pubstars or whoever we like, the fact is it is the biggest block to gamers for getting involved in Dust514 and staying in to enjoy the content on offer, we don't let them
Meta-Locked servers are needed asap, they are a year+ overdue Region-Locked servers or one region for all is needed, this may increase lags, but it is required if FW/PC are ever going to provide an international fighting base
Dust 514 offers great gameplay value, lobby based or in competitive clan battles prospect for PvE and great customization options for gamers from all backrounds CCP need to back off of stats, content changes, and give us gameplay options for everyone
Solo Deathmatch / Survival modes (1 clone each) / More clan based options FW/PC Mercs often refute arguments with 'I earned this gear, so I'll use it' and that's fine but it should be used in competitive settings against equal opponents rather than used to kill enjoyment for 80% of the playerbase
With the right gameplay changes offering incentives for lower and higher tiers of players, Dust could have potential to last a long time with the current playerbase and even more additions The current updates, and upcoming changes are a great step, balancing across public and competetive play would make the game worthy to be re-marketed on PSN and further increase playerbase and gameplay options
Please put recent revenue from Aurumlords updates to good use, and make the game worth it for everyone Not many agree but I do not care to be on the winning/losing side as long as the content/battles are fun

Some good replies here, not many of us ever agree but we all want to play the same game previously I was not in favor of a meta-lockout, but if it balances games and improves NPE I accept it
The current player community is below 3000 on any given week, that makes it our responsibility to improve the game 2 years of giving us the freedom to stomp and get rich at the cost of the games progression needs to be changed No new player can enjoy current battle setups, and vets who enjoy fights don't get much fun either
Stompers and Slayers or mercs who have practiced their niches to overcome these do well enough the rest of the community get nothing out of playing battles other than bad scores and payouts .. separating servers, giving practiced mercs something to fight for, and newbies a place to train is needed As I said before, their is no enjoyment in either side of a stomp unless you are KDR obsessed with play Killing 20+ mercs and having a few deaths is a good feeling but it's caused by imbalanced teams and players rarely does a players ability make a difference in the outcome of one-sided fights ie. almost every fight
I sh!tposted a rant version a few weeks back, CCP were unhappy with it so I am pointing out the issues reasonably
We have a great value game, and some awesome content, CCP need to add some obstacles in the sandbox If we are to continue playing the remainder of this game and hopefully follow it's progression into Legion. |

Player counts are low, that adds an impossible task to the battle finder.. Scotty can't cope That's where my thought on having one region server really make me want it to be reality
FW/PC operate on an 'international' playing field and the connection issues with these are an example of that if CCP added Public servers to that we would finally become, One Universe in One War and all of the server updates, tweaks would need to be focused on making that work.
I have played since beta and I see the drop in framerate and increase in lag in either FW/PC And in any public contract where we tour the American servers or other regions play on EU If CCP's primary focus was connecting these regions servers.. could it be improved ??
maybe not, but rather than worrying about what's OP, being buffed or nerfed, or meaningless events my main concern is the survival of this game, in 2 years nothing has came close to equaling the value of Dust514 |

You should be able to, just not in imbalanced public servers If mercs have played for 1 year +, earned their gear, they should use it If you have dedicated that mcuh time to the game, deicating to FW / PC is not much harder
I can hope (but will be wrong) players did not grind for a year to rival NAMELESS for the king of ambush it is repetitive, sure many vets may quit if their playing field is evened up, but why keep these guys over potential players joining in and getting to experience the fun that can be had on Dust514. we need to HTFU and forget about KDR

That was Dust 514 on crack, I survived.. 2 games and died in the last minute of round 3 lol Running a Frame's Ck.O w/Ghalags RR+BP and my only Kubo's then got hooked, ran MinScout w/Luis CR and Nothi's NK . OP !! my spree ended with Scotsmans Gk.0 w/Bons SG and a Ghalags BP (shot by rail installation camper lol)
My post does not mean I am not guilty of the behavior I complain about, but I'm here long enough like others that if I can afford to run a suit and wreck some red-dots in a horribly balanced game, why should I not do it ?? anyone who has played Dark Souls knows there is no honour in a video game where PvP is involved
That's exactly why I'm pointing it out to CCP, these imbalances will never be solved by players choosing not to stomp If we are going to have balanced fights and content for new and old players, CCP need to force the change.
Like many, I spent over a year grinding for the ISK I have, using low tier gear and getting wrecked at times at this stage, handing the opponents an easy win by me running carebear fittings is way too out-dated and like many, I at times join the long list of Proto scrubs ruining the game for other mercs in Pubs ..
I would like to hear any CCP response on when this will be priority for them to increase the playerbase make battles more enjoyable and balanced for mercs of all levels and we will see the playercounts increase
